My favorite memories of my childhood was on Saturday mornings, during cartoons, my mom would vacuum the house. I would go and lay down in a corner and go into a sort of trance. What was that? Apparently I’m not alone.

My mom passed a few years ago when I was 16, she’d always vacuum and do house work whenever I’d be napping because I mean hey teenagers sleep whenever we feel like it 😂😂 anyways I’m 19 now and this lulled me to sleep! Thank you ❤

My mom used to close down a dress shop in the late 70s, and to end each day she had to vacuum the store. My dad would drive me and my sister to pick her up and my favorite thing in the world was to go in, hide in the circular clothing racks and hide- waiting for the vacuum. I would take my Star Wars figures with me and watch the vacuum to go past. Many times I would fall asleep and mom would have to find which rack I hid in each night. This video sparks the feelings and emotions of being 5.

Exactly the same but with a little blanket over my arms... And the warm air coming thru.. I might add that I'm 57 and thru the years had my hubs do it when I was pregs, then kids do it for me when I didn't feel good.. now I have this! Getting ready to cover up and relax for a while!

This brought back a memory when I was 7, me and my cousins made a fort in the middle of my grandma's living room and when we heard the vacuum I saw my grandma vacuuming so I left the fort and vacuumed for her.

This resonates so much with me. The hidden hiding place of safety and the comfort of the hoover sound yet its approach which is stopped by the den and kept out. Lots of elements to it. May not be making sense but that would be an ideal scene for me to be placed in. Comfort, warmth, protection, hidden, safe.

I put my phone face down and slept with my Bluetooth headphones while listening to this.

I used to follow my mom round when she would vacuum, the sound would give me goosebumps and I loved the warm air that used to come out the side of the vacuum, I would always position myself, so the warm air, was always hitting me, this brought back wonderful memories, thanks

​@@andreabarrett391I'm sure he will, when I was younger also, whenever my mom would dry her hair from the shower, I would sit close to steal the warmth and the sound from the hairdryer, thats why these noises are special to me, as my mum accepted that these things bring me joy, as they still do today, they also make me feel warm, she used to also play classical music to me, whilst I was in the womb, its why I love classical music so much, sadly she passed 3 years ago, but I have lots of wonderful memories of her, as a wonderful loving mother, I couldn't have been more blessed

I have loved watching a woman hoovering, for all my life and I still do at 65 ! It was the older upright hoovers, with those huge inflating warm cloth dust bags that I found so exciting ! But like you, I also found the warm air blowing out of the exhaust port, very comforting. Mmmm. Let me see a mature woman hoovering with one now, and I would be one happy bunny !

This is absolutely the best channel for vacuuming ambience. The way you get close to the blanket fort for awhile then go into another room, it's perfect.

Childhood. Inside the cardboard box, I drew buttons and a spaceship control panel. When Mom started vacuuming, I would climb inside and fantasize that I was flying in space on a spaceship. The noise of space, goosebumps on the skin.

As a very child, 5-7, I would come from school and depending on the weather either Kay with my head against the washer or dryer , or snuggle under a blanket in front of the big water cooler and fall asleep. The water cooler came out just above the dining room built in banquet so I had a perfect nap space. This was 60 years ago, before anyone had any concept of this kind of stuff.

i remember bringing an episode of IT crowd down to my Dad, who watched Dragon Den. In this episode it all channels to a finale. the last two minutes of the episode. So it reaches this point, in the IT CROWD, he is pitching to the dragons.. and my Mom, starts to hoover? WTF. the ending was ruined. This happens often? passive aggressive? Can you imagine President Kennedy making the speech in Germany.. then a a cleaning lady pops up just as he gives the world famous line? this happens in my parents house all the time? I despair. You could be explaining the Rapture date, and you get... would anyone like some cake? Or explaining who killed Jimmy Hoffa? and up pops your Mom with some distraction. its almost funny.
