I looove how she didn't glorify herself even when her daughter already praised her for being such a good mom. Instead, she reasoned that each of us, are in a different situation, in a different environment, and may not always have the tools to deal with the cards we are dealt with. This mom can't get any more awesome than this............

That part could have also just meant her trying to find out if she was just hanging out with a friend, a girl or a boy, a possible love interest But it could have also meant what you said

@@BlackRose-rp7kv No. Right from the start, Mom made it known that love sees no gender. A parent trying to figure out a friend or a love interest based on their gender ALONE is no smart parent. This mom is too smart and open-minded to pull such a tactic. Watch all their videos.

They touched my heart in many ways I wish I had so many more of these types of talks with my beautiful mama before she passed away. These are the kind of talks that some moms don’t have with their kids until they’re on their death bed and I never understood why.. why not let your children know now and often how much they mean to you and how much they’ve changed you and why not ask them how they feel about what kind of parent you are as well! This is good for the soul. Thank you to them for being so open and honest.💜

This is the third video I see with this mother and daughter. Now that I know, that you read the comments: Kudos to both of you to do this videos, to be so open and honest! From my view you have a wonderful relationship! Something that I noticed is the way that you, Melitza, talk about yourself: Sometimes you say "I" and sometimes you say "Mommy", what sounds a bit as if another (third) person is meant. I know this is a remnant from Angelinas baby years, I also did it when my kids were little. For me it sounds a bit weird, now that your daughter is a teenager, but I don't want to critizise! I just wonder, If you noticed this for yourself?! If this turns out to be a series about you two with following videos in a year or two or five, I would be very happy!

Oh yeah right, a single mom giving advice to her daughter about dating, and the advice being "be friends with them first so you always have the friendship to fall back on". Not how it works mom, not how it works. They surely have a great relationship, but this is terrible advice.

  • @TheFaipht

I think she meant...that when a couple is having a tough time working through their relationship, it’s nice to fall back into your friendship and to remember how you loved one another as friends. Because if you can take it back to that place, odds are whatever you’re arguing about or having trouble with will sort of melt away as you reconnect with one another. This made sense to me because I was friends first with my current boyfriend of 17 years. No doubt we’re still together because we are also one another’s best friend. It wasn’t bad advice, it was just poorly worded advice.

@@TheFaipht yes, I agree. I think the daughter misunderstood it to mean that if you break up you can go back to being friends. But, like you, I think that the mum meant that you have all of the lovely things that friendship brings, with the added romance and things, and so during the tough times you will be kind to each other because you already valued each other as friends before you became romantic.

This woman is showing her daughter by her actions to not answer direct questions. Her mother is good at stonewalling and therefore the daughter is learning how to Stonewall. I believe this woman needs parenting classes, and this girl needs a positive male Father Figure in her life if it's not going to be her dad. Maybe she needs to be put in the band or Sports of some kind. That's just my personal observation
