shouldn't have to. My parents would take us 3 baby and toddler on dates, dress up and act right dates, people loved seeing us coming so well behaved. All the relatives wanted us to spend the nights. We could have conversations you know listening then speaking....But even way back then I mean Decades, people where already having Everyone be victims to their "kids" my siblings and I were so glad when our Parents stopped seeing those parents. But they said they did clean it up, and the restaurant said they didn't. The question is who to believe. At the same time, why would a restaurant deny them service if they really did clean it up? My daughter had an accident in a restaurant before, and i cleaned it up. I even asked the staff to bring me bleach. That chair was spotless, and they had no problem with us coming back.

Potty training is done at home. Out in public, they need on a pullup, period.

Pull-ups not diapers. Diapers encourage the kid to just pee. Pull-ups remind them that they’re potty training and aren’t supposed to pee in them. But just cloth underwear in public with a potty TRAINING kid is asking for drama. (Mom of 5, grandma of 6)

I agree with Applebees on this. It is a health hazard to every person who dines in that restaurant. If you know it already happened once, and the mess was left, then they have the responsibility to their workers and guests to deny service.

I’ve worked for a large retail department store for the last 20 years and the amount of people who do this type of thing with their dogs, kids, elderly parents, etc. would shock you. Got into with a lady two weeks ago for letting her dog diarrhea all of the floor and then walk away like nothing happened. They always pull the “service dog” card. It was not a service dog and even if it had been, clean up after it!

Yes! I worked in retail a long time and people let their kids pee on the floor. Someone took a dump in a pile of clothes in the fitting room. A lady let her colostomy bag over flow and drip poop all over the store. This isn't surprising.

I’ve personally witnessed 2 kids w/diarrhea running down their legs in clothing stores & the moms pulling them out w/o telling anyone. Another kid was actually squatting on the floor w/his shorts down!!! Hiding in w/the clothes along the wall!!! I told the mother, who got very angry AT ME, & then went to find/grab her son & yank him out of the boutique w/o a word. So I also told the clerk, who was stunned, as I pointed to the woman rushing away. The stench was 🤮. I also have seen 1 kid pee on the floor & others w/obvious pee on themselves, yet, the moms still shopping!!! These have all been little boys. Both colors. Hello???? These ppl would fit right in!

It's probably has more to do with making this out to be an 'outrageous' situation and hopefully can find a lawyer to take on the case on a contingency basis. It is expected a child will not be potty trained or completely potty trained at two years old. As such, they are prone to accidents. He wasn't able to let them know soon enough for them to make it to the bathroom. If they didn't want to put him in a diaper, they could have put him in a pull up so that if he didn't make it to the toilet, it wouldn't get on his clothes.

I can believe the family didn’t clean up the mess just look around in the video. Again, why is this a big deal for channel 2?

Look around in the video, for what exactly? My view is this: it's a "one person said this, but the other person said this" type of situation. All statements are allegations, and unless proof is provided to support either sides claims, I cannot in good conscience make a supporting statement one way or the other. If the family did clean up the mess their child left, good on them and shame on the restaurant. If the family didn't clean up the mess their child left, then shame on them, and good on the restaurant for refusing to serve.

​@@UGAPhoenixGood thing most Applebees have cameras, in case there is a lawsuit. I wholeheartedly believe they left without cleaning it up. I've had 2 people over the last few months vomit at my job. One got mad because we were busy cleaning up the vomit and we didn't care to clean him and his girlfriend up.

@@UGAPhoenix The video will show whether the family tried cleaning their kid's body fluids up, or whether they just left. In a court of law (even civil), once you can prove someone is or has been lying, their credibility is shot.

Judging by the fact that they place a phone/idiot box in front of the "baby" tells me everything I need to know; they did not clean up the mess.

Hay everyone have children too and people have common sense to know 2 year old should have a diaper on this is disgusting for people to sit and eat and smell pee all over the place....they are wrong and want sympathy from the public hay if you did that to any other restaurant they will deny services too

Don't take your kids places without a diaper if they aren't fully trained. It's that simple.

Looking into legal options? Absolutely disgraceful. The Mother should just parent better instead of looking for a quick payout. Put pull ups on the boy when in public. Don’t they still make those? The body fluids left by the child must’ve been really bad to make the servers not want her there anymore. I have worked with the public in retail and you don’t want to know what I’ve seen in stores. Maybe both parties are telling the truth. Perhaps the boy did potty in several spots and the mom only cleaned up what she saw but not another spot?

That his mama done messed up in parenting. It was not his fault his bottom went without being diapered when out in public, he was just 2 year old toddler. There is not even a potty chair, how is even she going to potty train that baby when he that small while out in public? The urinal in the men's room would probably be right at his face level and she is a woman she can't even take him in there, and he would fall into the public sized toilet with no baby seat.

Why are yall showing the baby's face????? Thats not cool. Im a waitress 8 years NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN !!!! people have thrown up...but never painted the floor yellow. Put some pull-ups on your children or be attentive and watch them to see if they need to go.

So yall are pursuing legal actions towards APPLEBEE'S.... because you didnt want to put your 2 year old into a pamper for the duration of the visit! And of course this is in Atlanta!

2 year olds favorite restaurant, ah that statement itself tells you something. Kids that age are messy and his potty training isn't yet mastered so stay home and clean up after your messy toddler like normal folk until your child has mastered a few important social etiquettes or go to McDonalds.

Incontinent toddlers are not a protected class. Sheesh! And even if she did clean it up, there is still residue that must be sanitized! But I'm guessing she didn’t.

This is totally ridiculous

They need to have the kid in disposable pull ups until he is fully potty trained. They can have him wear both toddler underwear and disposable pull ups at home, but should have him in disposables when they go out. We did that with our grandson with no problems.

Unless your child is completely trained, they need to be wearing a pull-up or diaper when out in public places and using public seating. Even if you did clean it up, it shouldn't have happened. It's not the child's fault, but it is the fault of the parent who didn't prepare for the accident everybody knows could happen.

Where’s the father? Usual suspects are so usual.

i think you’re just being racist here. i work at a restaurant and the main culprit of pee on surfaces it shouldn’t be on is middle aged white moms and their unattended spawn.

When my siblings and I were potty training our parents would put us in diapers when we were in public in case of accidents.

Am I suppose to feel sorry for this family who thinks they are entitled above everyone else?
