I make the dresses a little full in the front for comfort and light weight. If the dress was form fitting it would be restricting for her. Plus it's a Frock Dress. They are supposed to be loose fitting.

If the dress was tighter it would be to restricting. With it loose she is more free to move about and more comfortable. It is also a Frock Dress. They are meant to be loose.
