@HaykInWonderland Haha. I think if two babies are doing this over and over, it's considered funny and cute. They're learning to work together, even if they're ultimately failing at the task; but if those youngsters were any older, you would simply have two dumb kids who are the hilarious embodiment of insaity. Kids are born sponges for a reason-- so someone wiser can teach their developing minds the proper way. 😂

Reminds me of my twins when they were that age. Another moment that made me laugh, one twin was frantically searching the house to find his partner in crime who fell asleep on the bed but couldn't be seen. They knew how to dial 911 at that time and dialed it, claiming he couldn't find his brother. The next thing I know, there's an officer at the door. He explains everything and we all go calmly in the other room to show him his brother is napping. Relieved, he climbed up beside him and is out in an instant. His twin unaware of anything. His older brother and sister and I and the officer laughed.

That's most certainly your typical toddler face/eye-rub. And they have no problem with this being a never-ending cycle - they keep on doing it because it's fun, and it's fun because they're acquiring a complex behaviour. This behaviour needs a lot of repetition to get the hang of, and they'll only stop when they're tired or bored. Thinking they don't realise what they're doing is like saying that Le Mans 24 drivers don't realise they're driving in a circle for 24 hours.

When you laugh at a funny internet video, somewhere out there an alien assigned to studying human behaviour is really confused: why does she laugh to her computer screen? Doesn't she realise that laughter is a social signal supposed to be directed at somebody else? Wait, is she watching another cat video and laughing to her screen again??? Oh my Zerg I can't with those humans Don't look at children as narrow-mindedly as that alien would be looking at you 😉

But they are accomplishing their mission. The mission is doing it again and again. That is how babies learn. They need to do that, it's incredibly important for their development, and because it's so important, it's something that brings them joy. They are doing exactly what they want to be doing. They aren't failing at anything. They want to repeat. All normally developed kids that age should do that.

Good job mom! Too cute. When my 4 were little and they would do something similar to this, I would try to just let them wear themselves out figuring on it so long as they didn’t get super frustrated. In my mind I would be thinking; “at least they’ll sleep well later.”😂 As a parent, many times we are too tired or busy to have the patience. Now my children are all grown and I teach mainly children how to ride horses. Many of my student’s parents will mention how they can’t believe how I have so much patience to wait on them to do simple things themselves when they are struggling with coordination. I will often tell them when they are asking about information to start their kids riding that the first couple lessons will feel more like a buckle, rope, strap and clasp course. Many don’t believe me until they witness it. We can do it all for them so much easier and faster, but the problem solving skills come in the actual doing it until they figure it out. I have adults who take lessons from me who are just as uncoordinated. Right now I have a young man who is 24 and an NCO in the Army and it’s amazing how much he struggles to take off a halter, fixing it around the horses neck to secure the horse, while holding a bridle, and then putting the bridle on and taking off the halter to hang it up while having the reins over his shoulder. I often think that it’s quite possible someone has always done things for him because he’s pretty methodical (but very smart), and so I just talk him through it and let him work it all out. He’s getting much better. I have an entire set of classes I call dope on a rope; and the dope is never the horse…😂 Wow, that was long for such a short, cute video.😅

I think I'm going to have kids. For a long time, I couldn't find enough reasons to convince myself if I wanted to "replicate" myself. But right now, after I watched the video, I said to myself, "why not have children for moments such as this?" It's priceless - a toddlers logic...Merry-go-round. They were solving a problem they faced but only to re-create it again & again. And not getting bored with the whole affair because they don't quite realize what they're doing. I loved it. God bless the person who did the recording & the toddlers as well.
