Jubayer Sarker what’s the connection?
Mario is so talented and witty, he has Jake smiling throughout the whole show!
Honestly, I commend how Mario effortlessly shifts between italian and english language while maintaining composure during cooking; there's so much energy needed from cooking in itself, let alone talking and educating people extensively at the same time. His multi-tasking skills are extremely admirable. I just need to add, Mario wasn't even just giving trivia; he was recounting italian history and how it was related to food and tradition. Everything was heartfelt. I don't care that he talked fast; i cared that he made sense while still making good food AND entertaining guests.
This was my favorite cooking show in the early-mid 2000s. So nostalgic watching it again.

Maggie's laugh is so beautiful....
Baby Jakey G, so inquisitive.
and the flying potato that landed in Jake's eye is how he became a supervillian
This video may be old. People think and say that he's talking too much, but I honestly learn a lot from Chef Mario here because he explains almost everything that I need to know about cooking Italian food which I really love. Like I never knew regions in Italy have their own way of cooking pasta sauces, or to get near authentic is to be traditional like how Italians traditionally cook the grandma way or simply not drown my pasta in too much sauce because it's important to make enough of it and just let the noodles soak the sauce so they meet and become one like marriage.😂 Such as these are important info packed in one episode alone that I just couldn't find anywhere else in KZread, which mostly has people do the cooking or no talking with background music. It's either I never learn anything or get only little info from it. Chef Mario is different. But to each their own. I still 💜 Chef Mario Batali. I'm learning from the master. Food network needs to bring such vids back. Not cupcake wars or cake halloween competitions.
It's funny how Mario only talks and the guest's job is to eat and gigle.

Apparently they thought going in a different direction, away from cooking and more competition was better for ratings. I've no idea, I stopped watching years ago. This was why Emeril said he left.
to help him with his crazy look in nightcrawler, jake gyllenhaal always thought about the time, when mario batali sneezed in his hand before making the dough and he had to eat it, because of cameras and politeness

@The Sentinel Fuck you then. Because guess what, NYPD didn't find evidence to make an arrest, so you just judged one of the greastest chefs in America. So have all facts in hand, before being the usless piece of shit you are.
The shows that I actually enjoyed like Food 911, Malto Mario, Tyler's Ultimate, Emeril Live and of course we can't forget Iron Chef America!
Arguably the greatest Italian Cuisine chef ever! Batali's dishes are something else.

As far as Italian TV chefs go, Batali has always done a good job. Lidia Bastianich is probably the best among them though... and the best overall will always be your Italian grandma.

Back when food network was good. I miss those days.
They are such a great family.
Love this, used to watch it everyday. He inspired me to learn to make my own fresh pasta. I have finally after some practice, mastered it! Good stuff.
Love Mario but he definitely meant "alliteration" instead of "onomatopoeia"
I use to love watching this is a kid me & my lil brother
Jake looks a lot better when he is older, but can be recognized easily when he was young.
They asked 4 times how long do you cook fresh pasta lol.

They should have cut to a 10 second scene from this video during Donnie Darko. It would have made sense.
I’ll always be Team Maggie ❤ I love her!
Wow, I miss Mario... A full 2 hour culinary class in 22 minutes...
This is so heart warming
I always loved Mario's show, but it was too short. This guy is a walking encyclopedia of Italian cooking techniques. The episodes always felt a bit rushed. Yo, Food Network, you want to be legit again? Get this man his own hour long show!
favorite video and comment section on all of youtube
why the fuck is this not on TV again
best cooking show EVER
We miss you, Mario.... # 1
Awesome video. Wish the Food Network still showed this kind of videos where we can learn something useful. Thanks for the shares.
not gonna break out the vino and say cin cin motherfuckers??? LOL!
When Food Network had real shows. Molto Mario, Good Eats, Emeril Live, Tyler's Ultimate... real cooking shows with explanations and insanely great recipes instead of a thousand reality shows with terrible people trying to cook for teams under chefs, or dramatic girls in cupcake wars.

Unbelievable that Food Network actually believes people prefer to see Guy Fieri eat in yet another restaurant or watch Giada fall out of her shirt while Bobby Flay oogles her.

Well...the sad fact is that people do. It's why there's nothing that has to do with history on the History channel, nothing to discover on the Discovery channel, TLC has been a cesspool for like 20 years. At the very least, the Food Network's programming still at least tends to revolve around food in some way or another. I'm surprised there hasn't been some kind of "Cooking in Alaska" show, seeing how there was suddenly a giant outbreak of shows themed around Alaska for a while...

I'm a fan is onomatopoeia, but more so of alliteration. boom.
Lol, he explained that when you make a lasagna you let it set for a good while, and what does he do? Cut into a giant puddle of mush.. #Hah
Did you hear that Kitchen Aid? Maybe start adding just a little texture to your pasta rollers??
Does anybody know the name of the song that plays on the intro ? I can’t get the song out of my head
