MOLOTOW ARTIST SESSION x TONY TUAN LUONG aka TYLE2
To kick off our new video series MOLOTOW ARTIST SESSION we invited the Graffiti, Calligraphy and Tattoo artist TONY TUAN LUONG aka TYLE2 from Offenburg, Germany. A city located right next to our Headquarters in Lahr.
TONY shares with us a little bit of his artistic background and tools he is using to create art and what type of piece he is working on while talking.
The artwork entitled ECLIPSE was painted with MOLOTOW ONE4ALL Acrylic Paint and Markers as well as MOLOTOW Premium Spraypaint!

As an artist who's always had an obsession with calligraphy, lettering and graffiti. I do something similar, but I use a combination of calligraphy with Nordic Runes. There's something therapeutic in the repetitive process and stylish addition of the calligraphy elements. I like Tuan's approach and style. Even his approach to tattoos is interesting.

Amazing. As a newcomer to the world of calligraphy, going from seing the beautiful copperplate writing, to exploring this glorious piece of various tools and techniques with lettering and calligraphy and graffiti. Very inspirering!

Do these patterns have a letterform? It's the same things all over the place. But calligraphy is an art based on letters. Recently, these things have increased. But it doesn't seem to be calligraphic.

No name for it but Cryptik, Pokras Lampas or Moxaico would be main guys who does well too. I like it, i just find it sad there is just 100 persons doing the same things.
