Thank you so much! My teachers are so confused how I do good when I sleep in class. Thanks to people lime you I have all A's!!!
thankyou thankyou thankyou! I've been struggling with chemistry this past semester. You break the problems down so i can actually understand and memorize, rather than going through a bunch of complicated and unnecessary steps to reach the desired goal. My professor isn't the best at explaining things, she made molar conversions SO confusing. thank you again it's awesome what you're doing!
what a king. literally saving my chem grade

This helped me understand so much. We need more teachers like you. My Chem teacher explains just 1 problem to us and expects us to figure the rest on our own without teaching the whole lesson smh

Learned more from your videos than weeks of sitting in class. Thanks for saving my grade.
I know this was probably made for high school students, but as a sophomore in College (and as someone who hasn't had chemistry in four years) it's helped me immensely! Thanks, Mr. Science Man

Thank you so very much for making and sharing this video! Your explanation was nice and slow and very easy to follow along. I finally understand this concept clearly.
Thanks a lot! You actually taught that better than my college professor taught it! And made it a lot easier to understand, thanks again.

Thank you sooooo much! I had the hardest time understanding this concept no matter how many times it was explained to me until I saw your video. You simplify it to perfection! Now I fell more confident to take on my final. Wish me luck :)

where did you get the mole mass for the silicon dioxide? (60.08)???
@stepbystepscience
9 жыл бұрын
Add up the molar masses for each atom in the compound SiO2 = Si + O + O = 28.09 + 16.00 +16.00 = 60.08 g per mole.
@Biscuit9891
9 жыл бұрын
The molar mass is the same as an element's (amu) or average mass unit. The amu is always the bottom number in the squares on the periodic table. For example: O has 15.999 as it's molar mass or (amu). In reality though this number should be rounded up to 4 sig. figs. Now O has 16.00 as it's molar mass or (amu).
Sir what if the given grams is the same as its molar mass?
@stepbystepscience
4 жыл бұрын
Then you have one mole of the substance.
Can you explain why you changed the answer to 10^24 from 10^23?
@stepbystepscience
10 жыл бұрын
I did not "change" 10 23 to 10 24, but when you multiply on your calculator you get 10 24. This comes from the fact that 2.91 x 6.01 is 17.49. When we write it in scientific notation the decimal place gets moved one to the left and you get 1.75 x 10 24. If you left it as 17.49 then it would be 17.49 x 10 23.

I hope your still checking these. I don't know or understand where the particles come into play and how. I cannot reason all the diff mole problems out well at all...:( Atoms, moles, particles, grams, mass, molar mass... which is what and when is what which!

Are all synthesis and decomposition and double placement conversions of molecules? Also I love those video of your because I can, " see" the chemicals react! Thank you so much ! I also am still trying to work out how the ions change in those chemicals and sometimes in swatting up the subscripts.
How did you get 2.91??
@stepbystepscience
3 жыл бұрын
175 divided by 60.08 = 2.91, does that help?
n=(m)/(Mm) n=(175g)/(60,08g/mol) n=2,91 mol That's how we do it in Norway. Same thing, but with a little different setup.
