There is no rule against setting the ball over the net.

@jmir1 I've seen tons of videos from professional beach players saying "it's not allowed unless it is unintentional"... Another version is "that's theoretically allowed, but referees never allow it to avoid difficult calls"... I love beach volley, but the rules of this sport are a mess

@@zeplusoif1 No it's definitely allowed and relatively common at the pro level. It is only a fault if you don't set the ball in the direction of your shoulders or if you have a double contact. Since the pros usually have a good technical ability, they don't make a fault when setting the ball over. At lower levels of play where the player's technique might be off, it's very common to call this as a fault though.
