16 car parking spaces for 152 flats some of them 2 and 3 bed! 🤔😲

The club opened in the mid 90s, possibly early 90s as Ikon Diva. Ikon was for 18+ and Diva on the ground floor was 24+. On a Thursday, Diva would be for 18+ all you can drink for around £15 if my memory serves me correctly. The 3rd floor was a VIP area called the Gallery which was brilliant, with funky house house music when I use to go between 2001 - 2007. It changed hands 2008/09 after the recession. That for me, is when the club died. It just never got the numbers again. It was Liquid Envy. The club use to feed off all the busy bars in Crawley high street, but many bars closed down from 2008 onwards, never recovered the numbers. I’d say 80% of the punters were local in Crawley. But then Crawley become a dumping ground for immigrants, people move away, go elsewhere ect…. I had a blast of a time in my early 20s from 2000 - 2007 in that club.

Hi Matt love all your vids, almost got through all your long ones, least your 99% right on everything you see and explain to beface, and don't speculate like most of the other urbexers, other than when your unsure and say you are.. anyhow got to keep him, he's a classic.. you explaining everything to him is spot on lol.. funny as feck.. Key warrior time... 1% Apart from the type writer in the boars house, was a sailsmans demo, back in the day, probably not a toy, and the emergency lights with batterys, in the roof of the bingo hall, were hi pressure sodium balest for the sealing lights.. lol... What a waste of a great building to rebirth a club in. Why did Moker close?

Wow parking will be atrocious! 152 homes served by 16 spaces and 4 motorbike bays yippee!😲🤔😆 Let's hope they put in at least a couple of EV charge points! Let's just do the maths on that, if say half the residents have an EV. So the majority are one bedroom flats but I would imagine a lot of those will be occupied by couples. Having lived in a one bed flat myself, I know the dynamic. Some are 2 and 3 bed flats, so let's double up the total no. of flats and add 20 to give us a rough total number.of 324 residents. Let's say 60% have an EV that needs charging over night, that gives 194 potential EV vehicles that will need an EV charge point. It should be a planning requirement of any new build, that sufficient car parking provision is made, so each flat has at least one space!

@@Lee-eu6wf Yep, no need for cars, they'll be taxed off the roads, personal transport will be those EV scooters, dotted on every street corner! We'll have no need to go out anywhere anyway, working from home will be the norm, lockdowns will be perpetual, everytime there is a new 'variant'. Everything will be delivered by an endless stream of deliveroo type riders etc Happy days!!😄👍
