Mojo Nixon is from right here in Virginia. I saw him and Roper do their thing a couple times here in Richmond. Roper was hysterical over a couple beers after one show. A couple other good ones to checkout with a MTV thing going on - Stuffin' Martha's Muffin and Debbie Gibson Is Pregnant With My Two-Headed Love Child. Funny, funny act.

Thanks Shawn . Did I throw you a bit of a curveball? I still get a chuckle out of this song even with some of the out of date 80’s references. A comedic take on the celebrity of Elvis for sure , maybe a commentary on celebrity or maybe just a goofy song about Elvis. I think my favorite line is Elvis is in nutty Buddies or the stab at Billy Idol.

Happy Monday ! Well I have given this one a thumbs up mainly because i am an Elvis Fan 😊 I Think it's just a comedy take mostly on how much Elvis is idolised throughout the World and the Obsession with Elvis for a lot of his Fans and all of the Kings Impersonators out there and so he is still Everywhere.... so long after his death and even people who want to believe he is still alive ! I like to think I have a healthy fan Interest in Elvis in appreciation of his music and his Charisma he had on stage. So I guess therefore there is no harm done in this song at all. 👍 😎

It's not Mojo's best song. You can't take him seriously. He was the first artist who taught me that you don't have to be serious in your music. My favorite of his is called Louisiana Liplock. (She put a Louisiana Liplock, on my love porkchop.) Excellent response to all the KISS style "fuck me, suck me: songs in the 70's and 80's. He was just so rude and stupid that he was brilliant. I met him once. It was one of the long list of meeting my idols and it going terribly wrong (either I embarrassed myself or they made asses out of themselves) because I was so drunk I almost puked on him. I said something obnoxious and then fell over. He them traded his Ross Perot shirt to my friend for her bra, which he wore out of the venue. That's class baby. Meanwhile, I rode home to Birmingham from Atlanta in the back floor board of the car.

That’s a great story. I saw him open for someone , can’t recall who, but the thing that surprised me was how hard his band rocked.
