Mojave Gold Drywashing with Dan and Jason

Ғылым және технология

MineOperator takes Dan Hurd Prospecting and Jason from Mount Baker Mining and Metals drywashing for the first time. Jason and Dan get into a competition on who can get the most gold, WHO WILL WIN? You will have to watch Dan and Jason's videos to find out. We used the Mad Mining drywasher and Ron's homemade 30-year-old puffer, Rusty and Rodger helped out. Of course, the star of the video, Ginger. You can stay tuned to the end. Harry runs the drywasher cons through the Riverdance Mini-jig and finds gold we all missed panning.

That MM drywasher was running terrible though, i bet it only caught 25% of the gold. They are difficult to get set right, and i'm impressed with the gold you did find. I bet you could tune a set of air knives to just the right pressures and flow to act like the ridges in a gold mat and knock down the heavy material into catches. At one job we used to use them for drying/dusting off parts at the end of a production line before packaging; it's easier to sort things when they're dry, for sure, and it doesn't get much drier than the high desert.

@@mineoperator If I had enough munny on hand, I would be offering you a per-ton value on it because I can use it to make alloy steel here with the iron from my own mine. Tungsten, by the time it passes a whole lot of middle men, is way more expensive than buying it from a mine, after all. Admittedly, I would have to research out a fair market value and negotiate that with you, but if you have no foreseeable plans for it, but don't mind setting it aside, seeing as you are getting it as a byproduct, at some point, I can hope to be able to buy it. Also, when I say 'set aside', I don't mean pack it all over the desert necessarily, but just when you have processed large amounts of everything else, leave it in little, distinct piles for now, mark its location on a map or GPS, and go on about your business. That way, if I can never get up enough cash, you aren't out any extra work, supplies, or storage space. After all, it has been out there in the desert weather all those many years, I'm sure it can survive a little longer, and being fluorescent, its really easy to find it in the dark if you need to find it in a hurry. Honestly, I do not know how much I would offer you for it, because I would also have to include [in my purchasing budget] shipping it from where you are, to where I am, and I have yet to even secure a good lead on LTL trucking services anywhere at the moment. It might actually be more cost effective for me to drive out and haul it home on my own truck. But if you are interested, just leave it aside in little piles you can go back and find later on, and I'll message you when I have money to offer. Also, if you contact Keith Bowen of Hard Rock University, he can patch you through to one of my personal e-mails as a known secure, private pathway over the internet, for people in the mining industry to connect. I'm always interested in stuff like tungsten, tellurides, molybdenum, cobalt, nickel, chromium, and REEs, as I am slowly gearing up to begin casting and finishing of custom alloy products for people.

I wonder if it'd be possible to make a big cone with a vibrator on it and then just fill it with dirt and anything heavy will go to the bottom and the light stuff will stay at the top and as the heavies displace the light it'll overflow until there's nothing but heavies in it. I think that might need a crusher though to get it down to a uniform size, I don't know.

I noticed you have a hose clamp on your shaker motor. Are you trying to shake your machine apart? That’s what happened you don’t need that much shaken I took the clamp off it’s not necessary. I have the exact same machine. My motor went out and I had to get a new motor. I got a variable speed, The motor I have now only goes up to 4000 RPM not near as much as the original one and I found out you need very little shaken. My machine chuckle apart. I wore out the screen so I started bolting it all together. I run my new motor at only about 3/4 of the speedat 80% on the shaken and it’s way more than enough. Looks like he could feed that a lot faster too.
