You can tell its not bedrock because bedrock doesnt look like that and bedrock doesnt have the same sounds as java which is why you can clearly hear by the pressure plate thats its java. Edit: This can also be proven by the player almost warping/clipping through the wall after respawn, because thats the way java interpolates things, bedrock doesnt do that.

Marketing team is actually doing really well, if they did it normally nobody would care but them obviously faking it has made it so much more popular

Why though. Making that would be way harder than a normal water bucket clutch

The weird "floating above water" from the spectator's view _could_ just be server lag shenanigans (I've seen it look much worse in multiplayer), but it definitely looks kinda weird from the player's perspective too, which I wouldn't expect.

I always thought the MLG water bucket wasn’t an intended mechanic by Mojang but this acknowledgment of it sort of makes it so.

I honestly think the old water fall damage wasn't a bad feature when it was around. Completely negating fall damage would require more skill since you'd need to use a more dangerous technique like slime blocks, and would make people brew slow fall potions in survival, especially for the typical end fight. The way it worked, to be clear, was that water _slowed_ your fall and you'd take damage according to your fall's speed. It was 3 blocks deep water to negate fall damage from build limit if you swim up while falling, and 4 blocks without swimming.

They could have had two players in the same world, with the first one having the custom camera angles and positions while the second one is actually doing the clutch. It wouldn't be too hard to set up.

Me and my friends were all able to learn the water bucket mlg within a few days of playing pvp like skywars. But professionals at Mojang don‘t seem to be able to learn the most simple techniques 😂

I love to imagine that the marketing team tried to do it legit many times, but they just couldn’t land it so they had to cheat 😭

i was afraid this was serious and Mojang betrayed their community. Turns out they just faked a little trick instead of spending the same amount of time and effort on actually doing it once, not even learning to do it.

I feel like they used some kind of replay mod or replay mod itself, the way the player respawns, instead of appearing like you would normally see it just glides quickly and how they placed the water very high up is all too similar to replay mod.

Even Dream "cheating" the clutch would have made more believable than what "Moyang" did. 🤣

Even three the house doesn’t had any crafting table or furnace. It Isn't a house. It doesn’t count as a house if there Isn't a crafting table and a furnace.

also, the title reminds me of something one time i tried to replicate the pillager banner on my survival playthrough, but when i tried, i couldn't do it for the life of me when i looked a little better, i noticed the pillager banner can only be done in creative, because it exceeds the banner limit like, why would you put a banner in your game that isn't possible to make??

I feel like the lack of death screen is more of a stylistic choice. Shorts are, well, short, so it might not make sense to show the death screen when it works perfectly fine without it, which also keeps up the pace.

Fun fact about the reach: That reach is the reach for creative mode on an older version of Bedrock if you're playing on a phone They have lowered it to 6 blocks regardless of gamemode, but still only mobile has a higher reach on current versions

I feel like this is harder to pull off in creative mode to make it look somewhat convincing. They probably would have had an easier time just doing it properly...

i’m pretty sure it just looks like that because of something like replay mod, or if another account were to do with with you watching it would look like they glide over the water, same with how sometimes when a player takes fall damage it looks like they’re floating above the ground for a bit then get shot down

Also the water is acting very weirdly by going in one direction when there are no lower surfaces nearby, it should be spreading out evenly.

if they hit the ground there should have been ground particles. it seems like they used the replay mod or some other cinematic mod which interpolates and delays the player's position when viewing the replay.

Creative mode has a reach of 5 blocks. In the video it looks to be about 8

Bedrock edition has that kind of reach. However the teleport and look of the shadows indicate it’s Java edition. Did they use a bedrockify mod for java to record this????

i'm pretty sure that (although they were in creative mode) it only looks like the water was placed from so far away because the player's point of view was recorded with replay mod, which makes first person look a bit weird

it looks like theyre recording in replay mod where there is camera delay so the 10-15 blocks is probably greatly overexaggerated i would think they just water bucket clutched in creative mode with normal reach or whatever

the fact that the water bucket still had water in it after the so called “water bucket clutch” is the real giveaway imo, no frame by frame needed

water bucket landing gets easier the higher you go, not harder. Once you reach terminal velocity, every extra block higher just gives you more time to get a feel for your speed, with diminishing returns to infinity. Clutching, being differentiated by being a reaction and not a planned manoeuvre, also gets easier the higher you go, as you get more time to react

2:03 Even on bedrock edition where you get like 7-ish extra blocks of reach, this wouldn't be possible legitimately.

They could've also just setup a command block to check the y height and do a /setblock command. Especially given it being 10-15 blocks from the players reach.

I’m not sure but there is a chance that it might an issue due to replay mod. Sometimes things look a little floaty and out of sync on replays.
