I would honestly love to see this as a full-length film, showing both of their journey's simultaneously and how they meet and diverge from one another. Really well done.

This was great because apart from being just a duel the music helps to tell a greater story of what feels like betrayal or loss

You can feel the angst in the duel. VERY well done!

Love how at the end the yellow saber is knocked out leaving only the red kinda symbolizes that she let go of the last of the good in her which let her utilize her full potential. Dark side best side.

Women care less about what others think when they age. She finally stopped caring about hurting him and became the true Warrior she was inside.

Interesting interpretation. I saw it as the two being friends as kids but as they trained over time she became jealous of his greater talent, eventually turning to the darkside. I didn't get the impression that she didn't want to hurt him but rather, over the years they fought after she went dark (the point where she was using a red saber with her old Jedi saber), she tried to kill him every time, but he was still stronger, until the end... of course. The part when she lost her Jedi saber and was only left with her red saber to me was symbolism in the video of there being nothing left of her old self, and she had fully embraced the darkside and her full power.

I really love this piece. There were a couple moments where the choreo didn't quite do it for me, moments where I didn't really feel the peril. But I have to say, this might have one of my votes just for the sheer beauty of it. It's one thing to make a brutal lightsaber video, but another to make a beautiful one.

Yoooooo. I loved this. The storytelling was on point. The music set the emotion of it all. I was so drawn in, I legitimately gasped and went "nooo" at the ending.

Simple and effective; very well done. I especially loved her transition from yellow to yellow+red to red. Poignant.

Definitely my favorite entry! That was so beautifully done. As soon as the third scene started, I was already dreading how I figured it would end. :-(

Absolutely gorgeous story, editing, and choreo. In performance a lot of the strikes were a bit off target, but it didn't take away from how awesome the storytelling and use of the theme were in this piece. Loved it!

This was phenomenal. The mere fact that you were able to merge the storytelling and the film seamlessly immediately makes it stand apart from other films. The production value was there, the costuming was simple and effective, music was unobtrusive, everything seemed to just click with this one. I really liked how the choreography had gotten purposely slower around the end of the video. Very very good job with this.

This wasn't the absolute best choreography, but it was still really good, to say nothing of the masterful work in every other area.

The best.

As soon as I saw her give him the bracelet I got sad cause I knew what was coming. Phenomenally well told story! I wish we could have seen her reaction at the end, and overall really effective double bladed lightsaber. There were a few small blips in choreography where her chest was super unprotected (or she turned her back on him- first instance the force push made up for it but its still risky in a fight). I love that he beats her the same way several times before she finally gets the better of him- it reminds me of Kenobi and Maul. Costumes and makeup were pretty good too! I like that the setting changed and overall was kept really simple, the focus on the characters made the emotions hit a lot hard than if there was a lot of extraneous running around or talking. Keep up the awesome work!

Wow, I'm so surprised by the ending. I guess I shouldn't be, it was quite obvious she was turning dark when her eyes became darker & skin became paler/less defined. Very good though, and I love the Pink lightsaber!

@@ryanjosephdp Lol sure. You can see them anticipating the strikes before they happen. The defender is already in a full block while the attacker just swipes and hits the defenders saber. So they don't look like they're actually fighting at all but instead just tying to slap their sabers together. Seems weird to make it intentionally bad but ok.

@@jordanturner7917 the first two sessions are “training” as they’re fellow students. The final fight is meant to be more intense. Though I’d agree. We didn’t quite get the intent behind all the moves at the time.

Yeah they did but overall I like this one better.

I understand why the Jedi died. It was his feelings. He got too emotional during their last duel, remembering that they grew up together. The thought of killing her must have been inconceivable.

It’s all fun and games until you get hit in the face, then proceed to kill your oponent xd

Probably he used the form 3 Soresu, and her used form 4 Ataru and Jar'kai.

I'm not going to lie, the best part of this video was the young kids in the beginning forming a friendship. That was the true emotional connection to this story. I get that they are trying to outdo each other with their skills and it escalates over the years, I get it, but the rest of the story was frankly boring and pointless with no defined villain or hero, so we're left with decent light saber battle scenes with no real substance at all. With that said, it was entertaining to watch for sure.

Very good but he showed too much mercy as some of the better fights because the fight told you story no word needed

the only thing I can think of that could have been improved upon is getting more practice dual-wielding as dual-wielding is very difficult. other than that the dueling looked great.

The intensity here really needs more work. it's one thing when two people are training as sparring partners, & totally another when one's trying to kill the other. regardless, the concept was sound & the flow got pulled off beautifully.

It’s been a while but I’m pretty sure I ripped it off the films for most of them. I remember there was a package I used from someone somewhere as well but unfortunately I had a huge computer crash and lots a lot of data many years ago. I don’t have it anymore.

It's not a shit ending. They were good friends, at some point they tried to be better than the other one. You can clearly see that the girl joins the dark side and she turns her old best friend into his enemy.

Those cuts were really jarring...
