I'm sorry to hear that. I believe the children of God don't need these so -called higher intellectual discussions to grow in their faith. When I hear the words 'reformed faith' I stop and ask myself ' what is that?' Here are men of God using human wisdom to inform God's children, where is Christ's simplicity and wisdom?? These Q&A's are for the most part useless. You have to dig so deep to find sound doctrine that the result is more confusion than anything else.

Mark 13-32 does not mention the 2nd coming; people are writing things into the scriptures; instead of getting the right revelation out of the scriptures.

Ok, I believe in God. I have a hard time believing in the creation as described in the Bible. It is impossible to believe the first humans were Adam and Eve. if I were born in 1500 I would have believed 100%. Would you please help me with this?

Do you believe in Jesus Christ - that He died and was raised from the dead? That He healed lepers and was born of a virgin? If you don't, then the creation is the least of your problems, but if you do, why is it harder to believe that God created the universe in 6 days? Pray for greater faith, because it is not enough to simply believe in God - Satan also believes in God - but you must believe in all the Holy Scripture of the bible. If the creation is not true in the bible, why should we believe any of it? God means literally omnipotent - He can do anything, without limit.

Your thoughts are more typical than you may think. Much of the difficulty lies in the misinformation from academia. It is amazing how men & women who can have such brilliant minds in some respects, can be so absolutely illogical in others. The true problem is not that they don't believe in God as they say, it is that they don't want the bible to be true. Mankind's sin nature causes them to want freedom from all authority, to do as they please with no consequences. So they fool themselves into believing fairy tale theories. Anyone who disagrees, and supports the biblical claims are ostracized from the academic world and cast out. What do you suppose the reason is that they refuse a person who is honestly examining data through their established scientific methods yet clearly shows that widely held atheistic evolution is false? Truth is always suppressed. This is the way of the world, as you will learn. Praying. Perhaps this may be of help: www.icr.org/homepage/

Question does Jesus know now when is His 2nd coming? If Jesus was God He would have known. Jesus denied being God twice. Once before the cross and once after the cross.

current human mind? he was always God, he is God. he knows the end from the beginning. where does he get the idea that God is learning in heaven? that's dangerous and makes no sense to me. he may not have known on earth as a human but he is back in heaven as fully God. Jesus always existed before the world began, he is eternal. that means he always knew everything, then he came to earth and took on a human so knowledge was limited. but now that he is back in eternity he knows everything. God doesnt take him from all knowing, to unknowing, to still unknowing. Or he isn't God..

That's not what they were saying. They were discussing the mingling of Jesus' divine nature and his human nature. Jesus is fully God and fully man.

Brian, I can understand Courtney's concern because that answer seemed a little muddled to me as well. We rightly teach that the Godhead is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, same in essence, while distinct. When it comes to the omniscience of God, that should also be the same in essence. In the hypostatic union, yes, I can understand Jesus Christ (while in the flesh) that no one knows the day or hour but the Father. Philippians 2:5-8 talks about Christ humbling himself to be a servant. Yet now in glory with the Father, it would seem to be a stretch to say that same humbling that we see in Christ being 100% man and 100% God is still present in glory. He is God the Son in glory, just as omniscient as God the Father. Perhaps I misunderstood the answer or wasn't quite hearing every aspect of it, but I too felt a bit uncomfortable with the answer because it sounded as if they were saying the Christ that is in glory has the same human mind that Christ had in the flesh.

Are you implying that Jesus was lying when he said that no one, not even the son knows the time of his return? "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Mark 13:32)

I also think the answer left me reeling. I think is very wrong. Jesus became flesh. where do I read about minds.? we know he he grew in stature and in grace with God. how this happened the scripture I believe is silent. except one part as Alittle boy when his family lost him and he was teaching. he said he must be about his father's buisness. then we go into his ministry years.. I do not read about minds but flesh. he has a human body but a divine spirit. . he is always in submission to his father. not knowing when God the Father will say it's time. does not make him any less God. but only demenstrates his submission to the father. your mind will emotions is your spirit. Jesus is eternal and as far as I know does not have a human mind. a body yes. it's a mystery. but his answer asumes some sort of duality that does not exsist. nor have I ever heard this talked about orthodox Christianity
