I'm just glad now he figured it out and is choosing better. Unfortunately this is how most of us are... We don't think it will be us until it is. We are conditioned to believe we are the exception here in the USA, but it's all closing in very quickly. If what our "leadership" can do to others what do we think they will do to us? Alot of people don't even know about all the rights we are loosing daily bc it's not them yet, but all anyone has to do is look at what's being done to others.

The Palestinian struggle is not the only struggle in the Middle East and is not the oldest but the Palestinians had exposure since 1948 and everyone in the world knows about them. The Assyrians however who are the indigenous people of Ashur (today known as Iraq) have been suffering for over 100 years now and not one listens to their suffering. In addition that after 2003 following the invasion of the US to "Iraq", the Assyrian ancestral lands were given to the kurds who are controlling because of the US all the lands of the Assyrians, they keep confiscating lands, hidden oppression going on and the US is still supporting the historical killers of the Assyrians since the 1915-1918 Genocide which took place in south eastern what is today Turkey and then through the 1933 Massacre of Simel (a northern Assyrian town) in Iraq today which the Iraqi army, arab and kurdish tribes committed under the British mandate and the British planned the Massacre which no one speaks of and the US kept silent towards that Massacre then as it keeps silent until today about what is taking place in the Assyrian lands in north Iraq

The tip I would give them is to forget their "r", almost no one else uses it (pronounce it like an "h" and half the time itll be right), and imagine there's an h after each vowel. So read AH, not A. EH, not E. And so on.

He quit in October, he was most likely on leave until June, that's when he was officially dismissed from the military, and that's when he could officially speak freely on the issue.

Do you want to be judged by what you did at 18, 24, 30, 45? I am 71 and still regretting my decisions made when I was too inexperienced or did not have enough information to make better decisions.

All the events that happen add up and finally something happens that breaks everything. His aunt was the final straw for him. Have none of you had pressure that finally makes you break and react? How nice for you. He is Palestinian. He and his family have endured more than the American people collectively. They are the most patient, gentle people in the world and his experience does not surprise me at all. Look at their resilience. Also consider the indoctrination the military gives its members. He had a lot to get through to reach the point of making his decision. His aunt was the final straw, and he had to risk everything to do what he did. Be kind.

@joeyjoejoe314 again, if you are a low-level soldier just joining the military, as he stated, to defend the country and inact revenge on those who threatened your country, this would not be your line of thinking. He was also young, just out of high school, most likely not heavily involved in politics. If you didn't serve in the military at that time, I did, you don't have any idea about the level of indoctrination and propaganda that they throw at you, and as someone growing up through the school system here, you don't really learn to be skeptical of the government. It isn't until college, or a lil further into your mid adult life that you learn a lot of things had been hidden from us, and the internet wasn't as prominent at that time, nor were TikTok videos, instagram/KZread videos, none of this existed. You literally had to know what you didn't know, so that you could seek out the information. It also depends on whether you're deployed to the conflict zone or not. Those who had direct contact with the "enemy" had a better understanding of what was real and what was not. If you weren't, then you only knew what the higher-ups told you.

This guy should have never gone into US airforce. His career was built on bombing Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan Libya shameful
