Modifying a Dremel dust fan to use with Foredom brought to you by Peter Blair AKA the Mad Scientist

Short video demonstrating the use of a modified Dremel Dust Fan for use with Foredom 1/8" shaft tools. I disassembled the fan, shortened the collet nut, re-drilled the bigger part to 9/32 getting rid of the threads, reassembled the two parts, CA glued a short piece of 5/16 OD x 1/8 ID into the newly drilled hole. Pretty simple and the fan works remarkable well.

Thats a cool idea Pete! Bet that would really shine with a small drum sander.

@@peteblairakathemadscientist If I may ask, which model did that fan come out of? It's shape makes it perfect for that.

Thanks for asking Mike. it is actually a fan made to replace the collet nut on a dremel. www.amazon.com/Dremel-490-Dust-Blower/dp/B00CM5ZCW2/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2DTBAEKEL50P0&keywords=dremel+fan+attachment&qid=1691722199&sprefix=Dremel+fan%2Caps%2C168&sr=8-2 @@mikeshellito6621
