I loved the era of the "old coupe bodies" mixed with "the then late model bodies", like Valiants, Chevy 2s, Falcons, Mustangs,. Corvairs etc. (Of course with the the steamroller tires, big/small blocks; fuel injection/carbs). 👍I still was into the Pintos @ Vegas too. Kinda' lost me after that.

The #69 was my grandfathers car his name was Red Okeefe and Lew Austin took the seat for him because of a crash in a heat race a short time before, this is some really cool stuff! Red was one of the best of his day!

Almost positive a couple are from Thompson speedway too. Terrific video. its about a decade before my time but I still recognize many names from when I was a kid.

Absolute gold here! Nary a pinto in site! I so miss the days of built in the barn coupes, homemade open trailers pulled by pickup trucks, and great racing with drivers that weren’t making massive amounts of money, some not at all!

Thank you for the comments. Definitely the good ol’ days. Nothing like seeing a racecar going down the road on an open trailer headed to the racetrack! Thanks for watching!
