Finally an honest review, I've owned 2 banshees in my life, one stock but piped with reeds and an air filter and another a 370 ported on alcohol, fully drag chassis, extended swingarm, lightened fly wheel, pretty much the works. I actually got tired of the drag bike alot faster even though it was really sweet because it was built for one thing. I now want to get a 250r for something different and for a fun project to do and because I hadn't ever owned one before. I am a little bit worried about being bored with the power coming from always riding banshees but I feel like a 310 kit on the 250r with reeds and a port job would be plenty. Thanks for the video!

you will love the 250r, its a different torquey power comes on way earlier. my walsh 250r is hands down my favorite machine to ride. enough power to go anywhere with the 310 and handles amazing.

That’s awesome man I got an 01 banshee that was rode for a year and left for 19 years 100% OEM and I cleaned it up it’s on my page check it out it came out nice it’s the white and red one it was black and white! Banshee always in my heart and always will be , I appreciate the R for what it is but I love my shee!

I lived through the days when these were brand new always lost it after one of them hopefully at 51 maybe one day I'll find one

Banshee's are good dune bikes or drag racing bikes but even a stock framed 250R with a lightly modded stock internal motor, the R will be faster on a MX track, cross country, and basically everything but dunes and drag racing. Yet I could build a 431cc Puma cylinder R that will decimate a lot of Banshee's unless they're 480cc stroker motors. Can't get part's for a 250R???? There are a bunch of companies that still build a ton of parts. LED, CT, Puma, Chaparral, Walsh, Houser, and probably 25 more companies! You want something hard to find parts for? There's still a bunch of R's at every national MX race or XC race and R's are definitely cheaper to build.

How did you set up the 250r to run the led light bar

I have a milwaukee 12v plug at the very front of my 250r that I just plug in a 2amp or whatever I have laying around battery into before a night ride. lasts a long time. before that I had made a 12V 5amp battery carrier under the seat, it was a pain to make sure it was charged the milwaukees are easier I use them to light my enclosed trailer as well.

Here by us costs banshee 8000€ up and there are only a few maybe 5 in the whole country

Why do you call it a stater? And not a starter?

Because it’s called a stator not a starter

The stator is essentially the same as an alternator on a car. Bikes with electric start have a starter but these are Manual kick start motors

@@germaineparham9372 well a 250r can be faster then a banshee but those 2 machines the banshee is faster. If that 250r was a little big faster and the banshee was stock the 250r would win. I have never ridden a tacate 4 so I honestly couldn't tell you the answer to that.

@@germaineparham9372 stock banshee can outrun both of them quads you listed.... Banshees suck MX without way more mods than this guy has on his Shee.... Just look at the front arms on the 250 - Big difference between the 2....

What about riding in the woods

i would take either of them for the woods. but set up will be key. a good low-mid pipe and properly tuned pilots. However I would have to give the edge to the 250r the banshees have this weird tendency to try to take off and go fast.

Them bikes would be worth so much more stock I have a85 atc250r all original and my 3 wheeler would beat stock banshee off the line and until I get to top speed then the shee gets about 10 mph faster on top end

I agree with you. But the walsh was a custom build from the start it was never a running quad. And the banshee was basically ready to be sent to the dump. I got it for $700 there's a video on my channel about it!

250r’s are better for track and trail however in a straight line a banshee would win

I can't find a Banshee in my neighborhood that hasn't been beaten half to death for less than $1200. Seriously, some of them don't even run (because the radiator is missing or the motor is gone or no seat, no wiring, no handlebars, etc).

There are lots of those in my area as well but sometimes those are the best deals. Especially if your going to build a custom quad starting with a beater is good because of the stock stuff on a banshee is garbage anyway.

250r's are better hill climbers watch any hill climbing race, they don't even use banshees in the hill competitions.

Haha I actually put it on sale once about 6 years ago when I had my first kid and I was broke. I was hoping to get $7000 back then. Amazing how times have changed, but sorry I don't think I will ever sell it.

Honda is way better looking Both rip though

Banshee much better and iconic looking. Stock the Honda is better for the track and the banshee for the Dunes. End of discussion.
