I was 18yrs old 1975 and i. Cursed. Mchenry and i got a ticket for 🔥 rubber in front of the pep boys store. But those were the good old days. I didn't think i would ever say that but time goes by so fast. And your video brought back some wonderful. Memories and next year i will be 65yrs old . and my brother and sister and i had some of those 🚗.the 🚗 i go the ticket was a 64 chevy impala it was a matelick blue i used to love my 🚗. So thank you much.

Maria Fonseca when I moved to Modesto in 1980 and accidentally on a Friday night went up to McHenry ave and seen all the kids/adults and their cars cruising up and down and having tailgate parties I was hooked!! I fell in love with Modesto, but as time passed gangs came in and bad things happened and cruising and hanging out in the parking lots became against the law. Thank God they still allow graffiti night Once a year in September but scaled down and very controlled. I was one of them kids cruising up and down McHenry Avenue in my 67 mustang fastback, them where the days👍🏻😊

I got pulled over on McHenry in 1986, modesto pd asked me where i was from, i said "Elk Grove" he said " i suggest you head back to EG"... no exhibition of speed ticket..🙂🙂

I also wanted to say that those are some of the most beautiful murals I've ever seen. Those guys the painted those sure knew what they were doing. American Graffiti is one of my favorite movies is George Lucas did a wonderful job on it. I know iveI watched it over 55 times. Good days you can drive all night for a book cheap food I was lucky I thanks again Merry Christmas

Thank you, the Graffiti weekend in Modesto use to be a lot more fun back 20 years ago. But i still enjoy it every year.

That was cool the last time I Crouse Modesto was in 1984-85? I don't remember it being like that though. I croues San Francisco San Jose Stockton Sacramento Richmond. The movie was made not to far from me over in Sanoma county and San Francisco but it was based in Modesto. The reason he chose the small town is because of the store front lighting it looked like a junk box record player?

SNOOP U 2 Thank you so much, I moved to Modesto from Redwood City 39 years ago. Back then I thought graffiti weekend was a lot more funner back before the city took it over with all the rules and regulations and controlled. But I still have fun and I go every year and it is still exciting. Thanks again.

@@RonInAVan I have to go and check it out 1994 was a very long time ago my 10 year old nephew and niece would enjoy that car show my nephew saw American Graffiti and was hooked on the movie, so I bought him a well used low rider bike for him and his dad to fix up . They did he rides it around car shows and entertainment places to show his bike. I'll have to tell his mother about Modesto to take him there they went to Petaluma car show. Now he has to go check that one out I did see all the paintings on the wall from KZread that wasn't there when the last time I was there. He will get a kick out of that . I do get the Crusin News paper magazine I'll have to look for the date on that.

In 2019 is it the 1 and 2 of June or the 7th and 8th of June? I would like to go to this event.
