I choked at “I’m convinced that top speed runners not only know each individual spawn point, but they also know their address, ssn, and name”. 😂 I would have loved to see your run in comparison- even if it does not compare. It’s crazy how fast you learn these runs and how much you improve. The strafing looks impossible to me, but I bet you did well.

Funny how 12+ year old games are both more fun and more lengthy than their „reboot” versions. For me, COD MW3 2011 was my first step into the call of duty series, and I fell in love. It’s so sad that the series recently went towards the money>immersion and experience style. Wish we could get the old COD style games.

Captain Price really is the MVP of the Modern Warfare series hands down. I actually like MW 1,2, and 3, with 3 having yuri be the one that connects some parts of the over-arching plot, some much variety and combat scenarios especially MW 2's "enemy of my enemy" having multi faction combat. What a great trilogy of games!

I love these videos so much, you explain the run AND the story of the game.

Recently played through all of the OG modern warfares again and they've gotta be my favourite first person shooters ever. Awesome to see a speed run :)

Teamates only move when you're looking at them because they want you to cover them... or because they know you're a spy and don't want to get shot.

Really cool to see the OG MW Trilogy all covered. Speedruns of the singleplayer do not get as much attention as they probably should so it's cool seeing all of this. MW3 is one of my favorite games for it's Spec Ops and Survival missions, and I found the Campaign difficult, but enjoyable casually. Speedruns however, I could see the pain. I think it can feel somewhat RNG heavy with taking damage when trying to move quickly than the other two, especially in Veteran.

I just recently beat the MW trilogy on veteran for achievements sake and yeah MW3 definitely felt the “hardest” but it seemed like it came down to more poorly designed levels rather than an “actual challenge”

I really like these videos. It’s cool to see how speedrunners push these games to their limits while also hearing the game plot as we go along. It’s a nice mixture of high-level gameplay and nostalgia. I love MW2 but I feel like MW3 had the superior multiplayer experience. Both are still great fun though, especially since Activision/microsoft made fixes to matchmaking for Xbox series consoles

MW3's multiplayer and campaign would be just as revered as MW2 if it came out in their place. I think they both are incredible games but MW3 is highly underrated because MW2 was an absolute masterpiece

A few of their ideas were dumb like no YYing your weapons but overall it was a great game, specialist was an awesome addition and stuff like the prestige shop was dope and actually gave you even more of a reason to prestige in older games lol

Frost didn't die, he simply did not join the Delta Squad for the Down the Rabbit Hole mission .He is most likely alive and well

​@BananaProtocol Frost is most likely dead actually. And he was there for Down the Rabbit Hole. Frost is responsible for blwoing up the caves, it happens in a spec-ops mission. He is given the order and most likely doesnt survive.

I’m new to speedrunning so idk if this is a stupid question but surely there should be a rule where they have to pick a higher difficulty? Recruit is for kids and disabled players and most adults/teenagers wouldn’t play on it so it’s almost like the runner isn’t even playing the same game as the rest of us

Different difficulties are different categories, but in general, the default category is just completing the game as fast as possible, for which you'd obviously play the lowest difficulty.

There are veteran runs out there if you want to give that a shot but the main runs are on recruit because its way more consistant. Veteran is mostly just an rng fest. But both do require skill.

@@scorchedsniper I suppose that’s a fair point, having played most cods on veteran I do agree that it feels like there’s RNG or inconsistency at times. On the other hand recruit does sometimes look like the player is essentially playing with no enemies or god mode because the AI are so weak. I suppose that each difficulty has its pros and cons for speedrunning

Tbf it’s development was pretty jank so I’m sure they sacrificed things like its graphics in order to make the game launch in a somewhat completed state
