i wished the riot shield was like how it was in ghosts. busted AF with either a lightweight frame to move faster, or being able to have a scrambler or portable radar attached. imagine putting spikes, claymores, or dogs attached on the shield XD

The Swarm hitting you on Shipment wasn't Killing you instantly because of the little shield symbol. That's the spawn protection❤

The swarm is serverely nerfed compare to Black Ops 2, on the normal size map you can avoid it pretty easy as long as you keep on moving because this swarm not homing at you it just lock to the location where it lock on you

Just a heads up for people since it wasn't in this video. The underbarrel flamethrower from season 1 is a hard counter to the shield, it'll kill someone with a shield very easily.

I have a myth I'd like to see tested: that you can outrun the Swarm. As in, as long as you keep sprinting (not even tact sprint) no matter what weapon you're using you'll never be hit. Xclusive Ace showed this off with an LMG and it seems to be the case as long as you never stop, but I think the absurdness of it would make good content.

@@DarksydePhilip I saw it tested in a mixed scenario (I think the Riot Shield still has a slower movement speed than an LMG, and it was in Wasteland which is the largest most wide open map). I'd love to see if it still holds true with the Riot Shield, and if it still holds true in a smaller more cluttered map because I have no clue how the trigger rate for the Swarm may be impacted by that. It worked in the LMG/Wasteland scenario, but barely. The one time he stopped to briefly look and then went back to sprinting, he got killed by the Swarm. So if a smaller map means the Swarm skybox spawn is closer it might not work. Or when it comes to say, Derail if you at a higher point of the outdoor part of the map at the time it might not work there either.

Can you still drop the shield to avoid semtex/drill charge in MW3? You used to be able to put your butt in a wall & the wall would save you if the grenade was on the other side…

There was an old glitch on mw2. if you stuck a riot shield user with the drill charge while they were sprinting the explosion would happen behind them not always killing them, you should try to replicate it.

A shielder's worse nightmare, an explosive crossbow build but it fires 3 arrows at once or in rapid succession

The thing with the cruise missile, the AGM-114 Hellfire (the actual missile it’s modeled to look like) uses a shaped charge warhead. Basically, it uses explosives to form a jet of liquid copper traveling at roughly Mach 10. This passes through tank armor like it’s nothing. Why can’t it penetrate a riot shield designed to stop small arms fire? Also the pressure wave from an explosion that large and that close would give you permanent brain damage at the very least, if not instantly kill you.

I did vortex Defend!! (Which allows the raygun to be used against others in multiplayer) the shield somewhat blocks splash damage infront aswell as direct hits. (Ofc only splash is blocked in the front) but it totally blocks direct hits.

At that point, Captain America should use the riot shield in Endgame...

Hol-ly dud it hit me like a full on brain-blast to see Underpass again. I haven't thought about the countless hours of experience inside that arena in years

5:33 the drill charge I think only kills you because the explosive lands directly behind you but if it goes off a edge you should be fine

For the overwatch helo and the Vtol maybe try to lay down on the floor with the shield on your back I know it was working on a certain game maybe in this one too And as always love the videos !

idk if they've changed it yet, but you can survive the drill charge if you're moving around a lot and/or by a wall and/or the enemy throws it in a bad spot on the shield

when trying to farm streaks for testing, why not set the mode to domination, unlimited time, and score. then just insta cap flags with scorestreaks. would beat being sleepy with lettuce and tac inserts lol

Og mw2 riot shield is still unmatched in gaming. The bullet impact decals, feel, and audio were so good!

The reason the V-Tole dose not work any more like it use to is that’s is how a god mode glitch was performed back when mw2 first came out

You need to try some of the killstreaks while prone with the shield on the back.

Myth: if someone sticks u with a Semtex or thermite on your riot shield you can drop that weapon (pick one off the ground) and run away before it blows up

I haven't watched this in about a year im glad to see things havent changee and the only things that have changed is the quality in a positive way!!

If ya get hit by a drill charge you can keep ya shield out n walk backwards making it detonate in front of you seen someone do it a few days ago

talking from experience, the drillcharge often phases through the player and doesn't kill them. i guess it depends where the drillcharge hits the shield

They need to put riot shield & noob tube users in their own lobby. They could see the users class setups & instantly throw them in their own lobby vs the users without either of those in their classes.

Does crouching help to block explosions? …like if you can draw a line from the explosion to your foot you probably still take full damage (if the riot shield blocks explosions at all) just assuming here though. Seems like you are immune from most things that hit the shield; maybe that makes a difference.

Yeah over the years we've found that if you don't crouch you usually take full or near full damage despite the shield being up - we saw it at its clearest in MW2 testing.

Riot shields are such BS in this game.

One thing about game design is that whenever you can go cheap without it being obvious, they will do so. The air strike getting a "direct hit" might actually just be a bunch of explosions being spawned at ground level. A very simple approach where there's no real hit registration. Hence why having the shield doesn't do anything for you as the explosions spawn behind the shield on a "direct hit".

If you have eod on, the drill charge doesn’t kill riot shields

You can still kill with breacher if it misses the shield and explodes behind it Done this many times

clearly the most balanced thin to ever be in cod games

Just a theory, but what if the bullets that go through the riot shield are then the riot shield owner's bullets? They would then not kill teammates, but if they "explode" the splash damage would revert back to the riot shield owner... Random thoughts.

I know HOME generally releases royalty free, that's why you hear it being played in so many places.

Riot shield most OP ever in COD and after this COD should never be in a CoD ever again.

Players will literally lose their mind seeing you equip a shield because it forces them to use their brain to strategize, instead of just looking at the thing and making it go away. Meanwhile, half of the throwable equipment in the game instantly deletes shield users.

For casual play I wouldn't shit myself about this being optional(default should be off though), but definitely this needs to be turned off for anything with Elo.

Most of these can’t be confirmed because most of this isn’t going to hit you directly on the shield so this testing isn’t realistic, you guys are trying for only the front of the shield most of these will hit above the head or even sides

Minor/automatic adjustments to your aim that the game makes for you so you land more shots. It is a borderline requirement for FPS games played with controller, but normally games don't have it when you're using mouse and keyboard, hence why he called it out.
