also the way COD is intended to be played destruction wouldnt work. So much of COD is angles and map knowledge and awareness. Destruction would completely ruin these things

BTW , the light tank in MW2 can actually float on water as it is based off of an amphibious IFV IRL. Neat detail if you ask me.

In some of the clips for 2042 you're using launch or beta footage and in other clips you're using at least Season 1 footage. Have you compared something like the water physics in the beta with how it is now to know no difference and deemed not suitable to re-record?

@@melcorchancla9431 To be fair, vehicles are a relatively new concept to CoD (that tank from WaW doesn't count) so give it time to grow. If there will still be no competition (from Battlefield, just like...now), it's only a matter of time until Ground War fully morphs into Battlefield and tons of other things. It's like the next-generation CoD will be the one stop shop for all the "shooter genres" I imagine. Wish people at DICE bailed to IW, they have so much talents yet have to work under EA.

@ bruv no. The guy who literally created modern warfare and infinity ward works as the Battlefield franchise director now. Vehicles have been really good since battlefield 1942 and only improving since. MW2 has basically the same vehicle handling as 1, only visual improvements and the helis in MW2 handle worse than any other game with helicopters.

Battlefield doesn't have the half of details that MW2 has, but almost everything that MW2 is lacking is related to geometry changing mechanics that on the other side Battlefield has full of.

I get it that destruction isn’t a core feature of COD’s design but I would like to see one or two ground war maps that toy around with that mechanic. That way it can give some more attraction to battlefield fans and still not change COD’s formula too much

I feel like battlefields way of showing bullets hitting metal is more realistic. It's not going to glow after getting shot but even if it does it won't glow for that long

Overall, both are very pretty games.

Minute 6:36 when he was testing bullets going through both windows, if you check the texture it would seem like the bullet did not go through the first glass either as if it was bulletproof, which would make sense given its a cop car, and also explains why it doesnt penetrate the other window, if thats the case then thats a good detail. Edit: Bulletproof :P

@@sornevolution2263 Either way, what the bullet hole textures show Is that there is no bullet hole at all, even if its purposely made for cop cars or if every car window Is shown to have the same texture of bullet impact, that would still mean bulletproof Windows indeed do not allow for the window behind it to be pierced, which would be an accurate detail.

Tanks in Battlefield are intimidating it takes 4 rockts to kill 1 or 3 bricks of c4 the launcher reload in painfully slow and they nerfed the distance for c4 throw greatly and feels laggy when clicked

Now video, although you need to create similar situations in both games for these comparisons. For example, bullets shooting through objects, you shot a tree next to a wall in MW but for the BF clip you shot a barrier with nothing behind it. Which doesn’t really make sense for that example. As well things like throwing a grenade in the water in MW vs throwing C4 in for BF

im a Battlefield fan but, I gotta say, MW II looks great and has more variety when it come to maps. Each one of both titles has their advantages when it comes to effects of the enviroment but still, MW looks have more scores in comparation. Good job.

Some of my casual observations: 1:40 I have never seen a character hold a pistol THIS comfortable and true to life in most FPS games (since I might be wrong). Holding a pistol up-right and centered while crouching or in a combat-ready pose is really unnatural. That's why Battlefield 2042 looks like it's from 2012 while people are mistaking MW19 & II for actual IRL POV combat drills. Freaking ironic because DICE literally figured this out just a game earlier - Battlefield V. - 1:57 This is actually a win for Modern Warfare II. Yes BF is a war game so these physics are expected, but this really messes with visibility so no wonder why MWII decided to tone it down to a more subtle level. - 2:42 MWII has the edge on water effects but at least Battlefield 2042 has better shadows (lol). - 3:38 This one in particular boils my blood to no end, Battlefield is about all-out-war with vehicles which should have been the one coming up with this feature first. Yet out of all games, CoD is the one that actually came up with "independently damageable vehicles parts", f*cking hell. The even went the extra miles to visually show us the damage and let us repair it. Now everyone is an engineer, CoD is really eating that BF cake and it's eating good. But at least 2042 has that burning metal spot for the C5 lol (christ on a cracker what a joke of a game). - 4:41 Battlefield 2042 has better shadow & smoke effects and Modern Warfare II has better lighting and particles simulation. As expected from both. - 4:55 Well no Battlefield games have ever had ledge-hang or shooting from ladder anyway. Ladders and rooftops are always death traps. And I swear I dreamt of the Quick Draw feature for CoD like 5 years ago and seeing being implemented exactly how I envisioned it just wet my f*cking pant, holy smoke IW ya awesome. - 5:45 Somehow both game are on par with outdoor lighting, but when it comes to indoor and small light physics MWII takes the cake. - 6:22 I see Wakanda becomes a super-power in the political climate of 2042, they don't just make shield, now they make tires, Wakandan's Tire. - 6:39 You are shooting a police vehicle lol. Don't you think for a cop cabby to get both side-glass punctured by one 9mm bullet is kinda f*cked up lol?. Someone is getting a lawsuit for that. - 8:17 LMAO that MRAP nudged the IFV hahahhaha watch your jet bro watch your jet. Tho the hotspot smoke is a cool detail but not the one that make people stop to look...or care at all.

I think the lighting looked far more realistic in MW. Battlefield looks like it’s through a camera lense. But I agree with the rest, I just think it would be awesome if they added some subtle movement for the foliage when affected by wind, but nothing like BF.

I remember when the CEO or spokes person for the battlefield WWII said “if you don’t like it don’t buy it”, I’ve been around since the BF1942 days and I stoped buying the games now I see the major lack of QC, great leadership😂😂.

It's like Apple vs Samsung, Pepsi vs Coca Cola, Intel vs AMD vs Nvidia sort of thing, both franchise has their pros and cons. I am always up for Battlefield franchise on personal level, but this new installment of COD might restore back some of the franchise's old glory days, while BF 2042 is taking the franchise to deep down rabbit hole.

Потому что у нас были журналы от людей которые похоже не очень шарили с играх (чтобы вы понимали в одном из таких журналов говорили на тему CoD MW2/3 и там сюжетной части посветили несколько абзацев, а PvP режиму только один абзац, и то он был очень маленьким) и в одном из таких журналов кто-то решил что будет отличным решением сравнить эти 2 серии игр. I feel like the tank in real life wouldn't really float anyway. Probably sink right away but not that fast.

You threw a vehicle off the map in BF and used that to compare driving a vehicle in water that's in the map for MW2. This video is gonna be interesting lol

You have to remember, MWII was still in the Beta version. Make another comparison when the full game comes out.

After the downfall of bf the people in charge finally listened to the fans and in one year the game is actually playable and fun. I was and am the biggest critic of bf. Even with the specialists the game is getting fun and good. I bought $120 game and thought i was scammed but turns out the game is really good after 1 year. Could have been better but atleast these numbskulls at dice are learning whats good n bad for the franchise.

Yeah they're definitely saving this game but they gotta keep up the content drops. but I did hear the next update is next Monday which will be adding 6v6 and 12v12 which will be apart of an event which should be fun. :)

I just returned today too and had fun. No more vehicles dominating entire games. Too bad it’s not too many players anymore with bots filling some of the lobbies

In Modern Warfare 2 you can shoot cars but you have to use a bigger round

Can you use a wingsuit, fly a attack heli, fly a jet, race a Polaris, or play on a map that has more than a 15 foot difference in altitude? No?? Have fun with that dolphin Dive 😆

I'm a hardcore Battlefield fan, but somehow I've become frustrated with the series.... The gunplay at 5:09 might convinced me to give Modern Warfare 2 a try. My last COD I've played was the original Modern Warfare 2

At least when cod makes a game even if it sucks it still had more effort then 2042

My thing is while yes 2042 has some details that are more immersive, they are resource intensive systems that don’t have a real impact on gameplay. Like let’s compare vehicles 2042 has foliage move based on vehicle action and leave tracks behind CoD 2022 has actual lean mechanics, individual damage impacts that can expose the riders or impact drive performance, and the like. So sure immersively seeing a tree shake cause I shot my tank is cool, but I’d rather have everything MW2 has gameplay wise while not wasting resources both on my PC and of the development team on trees shaking.

I feel like the foliage moving/leaving track etc is more for the immersion of players watching the carnage, BF has always had a way of mimicking chaos and all of these environmental physics help to achieve that. Obviously less applicable to BF2042 though

So nobody is going to mention the fact that the first clip has him jump out of the BF2042 vehicle, which mind you can float, and doesn't jump out of the MW2 vehicle?

MW2 feels like playing Army of two

More realistic? Heavily armored vehicles don't float, hotspots don't last that long on a low caliber, you think you would be able to carry around 2 LMGs, or hold an AR and a pistol comfortably, or that tons of explosives wouldn't even scratch a wall?

They've done great with the new modern warfare games. I remember when I used to say how much better battlefield was compared to cod now it's the other way around. I haven't had that "battlefield feeling" since bf4. Bf1 was alright though.

2042 had so much potential. It’s sad what’s happened to battlefield. I like both franchises but it’s just sad to see the shape BF is in.

I was a firm Battlefield fan and played it for years but in the last years BF has just been going down hill. I have never been a fan of COD but Modern Warfare 2019 actually made me a fan haha

Mw is still great but some of battlefronts features make the game more realistic even though it isn’t

In shoot through, the barrier in battlefield looks like it has sand inside

In 2042 you can see the smoke on the right, there’s just less. CoD’s smoke is unrealistic. The 2042 ballets burn the walls but only on some materials.
