I think I literally played every first person shooter on the DS when I was younger. Moon was so underrated.

@@kenziehill2688 it's a survival horror FPS game. If I remember correctly it takes place on a moon base that's been abandoned. The pacing is impeccable. the controls are a little hard to get used to though.

I’d argue that not because I dislike cod, but because back then things were split between halo, cod, battlefield, and gears of war. It made all those companies work harder to make good games

You should check out dementium the ward and dementium 2 on the ds. They are FPS survival horror games. There is a solid effort behind it and while dementium: the ward sort of missed the mark for me, dementium 2 was really great. The history behind it is interesting too, I would love to see videos of you covering these 2 games. Also, the horror element is done really well considering its on the freaking DS of all things!

I don't have much to say about CoD, but I love the look of 3D games on the original DS. Of course, I have a huge love for PSone and N64 graphics, and DS is kind of a midpoint between those. Also, I hope things get better for ya soon, Kacey. Thanks for still finding time to make videos for us despite all that 💖

You have to give N-space some credit though, they did pretty well with making COD ports with the limitations of the DS's hardware.

Love you Kacey, you're super inspiring and one of the people that keep me somewhat sane during quarantine. I don't think anyone will have any problems with you taking sponsorships, as that won't detract in the least from the quality of your content, in fact it will allow you to be more financially stable and independent to keep working on it. You know when lack of subtitles hurt the most? When a guy that doesn't understand that much of english without subtitles as support starts playing this game. And despite the portuguese language being similar to english, some of the most used words in both languages are very different In case of point: yes = sim Please = por favor/por obséquio Hello = olá/oi Gun = arma (considering that this word probably is used several times in a war) War = guerra

Would you ever give your input on Soul Sacrifice on the Vita? Wish that game would get a port

COD, Metriod, Moon, Dementium, Golden Eye and Brothers and Arms are my go to fps before we even had a pc. Those were the days

Yeah every COD DS game after 4 makes enemies do insane amounts of damage. World at War suffers from every single rifle being A: a sniper and B: having the exact fucking same model, a Kar98K/Lee Enfield/Mosin Nagant are all exactly the same aside from fire sound (and then you find a Mosin Nagant in the Pacific.), this also means most levels have 3 weapons, your faction SMG, your faction pistol (can't get to use German pistols outside of MP) and the enemy SMG and sometimes a gimmick 4th weapon. (Rocket, flamethrower or machine gun.) I think Black Ops DS is at least interesting enough (and they awkwardly phrase dialogue to avoid spoiling the console verisons) but I feel every COD DS game after 4 is a step-back. (Especially since in COD 4 DS, you'd have 5-7 weapons per level, while it feels like it's 4, including your starting weapons, most of the time in the later titles.)

Loved this game so much back in school,but now when i tried to play it for nostalgia i was shocked how i was able to play it,the frame rate is so bad and thats the main issue.If the game had a good frame rate it would be a very good portable CoD

8:44 This is the second time I watch this video, yet the first time I see a videogame having a placeholder that hasn't been hidden in any way.

As Scott the Woz and others have said, these games feel ok to play on their original hardware but you should absolutely not emulate them on PC, because playing these games while dragging your mouse around the touch screen makes you feel like a complete loser.

I feel like you should cover the manhunt 2 wii port. It just feels like a title you would cover.

You're mentioned ps3 and xbox 360 users, but what about pc users? I played the damn 600 hours in modern warfare 2. Still one of my favourite games in a series. And i think iam not the only one who played on pc. After all this is the definitive way to play fps games. Especially in multiplayer.

Funnily enough, World at War DS was actually one of the better entries in the series. Less verticality, more open maps, frame rate was better and the new assets look really good. The slower firing rate of the WWII guns also made aiming and hitting targets easier since the bullet spread wasn't all over the place.

Even MW2 showed up on the DS But not the Wiii what an odd choice

You should take a look at black ops on ds the good thing about the game is you can use the face buttons or a b x y to move the camera so it's more like a regular Cod game also it has online multiplayer

As a lefty I was never able to actually enjoy these kinda games, but I see that even a bad port like MW2 could be enjoyable with other friends.

They did have a lefty mode that just swapped the controls.

I loved modern warfare mobilized. Just the perfect amount of jank. But so fun, especially using the online wifi multiplayer on the DS.

To comment on the you play the game for neccetity not enjoyment I played all of the fps games on DS emulation because there weren't many anyway but if I HAD to pick a a cod game on ds to call good while being held at gun point would be I guess black ops but for fps In general would be both dementium games
