Deiter was the one calling the shots back then. They actually not a band, but a composer used a singer to sing his songs. But the they are an icon to pop culture in th e80's.

I would not say it was "clear" why they split up. I am convinced there is more to the story and I dont really buy the "split up because of insecure wife" thing

Thomas didn't speak English back in 80s, he used an interpreter for a South African interview (you can find this video on KZread). But later he learned it so well, thanks to years in the US and his good ear, and his pronunciation is much better now than Dieter's!

genatzvale' I think he could speak English at the end of the 80s .The South African interview was filmed in 1984 when the band started.

Thomas voice is otherwordly! I'm a 90's kid and I swear I wouldn't listen to MT songs if it wasn't for his angelic voice. He was and still is a fine, attractive man. Everytime I see into his eyes (now and then) I see a sweet, sensitive, down to earth person. Dieter looks like a cold person who was and is jealous of Thomas. For me MT is Thomas Anders

Thomas is so down to earth. Back in the 80's Dieter was the only one speaking in interviews. Thomas was quite young and he was ok being in the background. I love them both but Thomas was not treated fairly. MT would never made the success they did without Thomas' voice!

Неуверенно,тк предали все,популярность прошла,окащался ща бортом. Ну и великий Дитер -Дочека все время напоминает,что он важная персона,а Томас коврик. Фигню какую-то делал. Он и после 2 распада говорил:" Томас стряпает платиновые хиты,но внутри они-старое железо. Типа того. В другом интервью, самыз первых после камбэка,он говорил,сто у них разный статус. Он же единственная звездень на Олимпе. Я смотрела интервью 1994 года,там Томас просто убитый. Видимо, после расставания с Норой и яме в карьере.

Thomas was younger and also more emotional. Dieter was all ambition and business. I grew up with this and always blamed Nora cause everyone always blames the insecure wife. But actually Dieter is to blame here.

But it is also true that Nora was a controlling and manipulative woman who cared about things going her own way and sticking her nose everywhere rather than keeping her husband with feet on the ground and be supportive. She used Thomas as a prize, then when he lost that feminine charm she went on to cheat on him in the USA while he was away. Not saying Dieter is a honest cookie, but yeah, the whole thing of explaining the break-ups is quite complicated because every part has a side story.
