Modern Egypt Project: the British Museum in Cairo
The British Museum continues to add to its collection, acquiring modern and contemporary objects and recently we have been adding objects to the Egyptian collection.
The Museum created a pop-up installation to display and debate the new acquisitions, in the Kodak Passageway, downtown Cairo, between October 12 and 19. This was the first outcome of a project to consider how 20th and 21st century Egypt can be represented through objects.
