Modern Baseball | Live in Sydney | Just Another Face
Музыка
Hot off the release of their critically acclaimed third album Holy Ghost, Philly four piece Modern Baseball brought their intense and passionate performance to Sydney’s iconic Metro Theatre during January of 2017. With big riffs, honest lyrics, and a powerful onstage presence, Modern Baseball know how to put on a massive show, and Moshcam were lucky enough to capture it.

I just want them back, their music really means so much and to have not been able to see them for over 6 years is killing me
the fact that he KNOWS some people had to come on their own is heartbreaking itself

I’ve been going to shows by myself most of my life .I guess it’s all I’ve ever known -occasionally I’ll go with someone but it’s rare
Truly a beautiful song. For me, this song really highlights Brennan's battle with depression. The verses sound like the thoughts going through his head when he's depressed but the chorus speaks of such praise, focused around positivity and the need to change. I've seen these guys several times and will continue to support this band, especially where they're at now. I also see some relation in their song "How Do I Tell A Girl I Want To Kiss Her". In that song, Brennan sings about how this girl isn't "Just Another Face". To me, this means that she's special and no ordinary person. I see a real connection here with the title of this song, summing up his depression and how he feels. Thank you Moshcam for the upload!

Lyrics kinda remind me of Rick a little bit for some reason. I know they’re personal lyrics but still....maybe some R&M influence ?

I've got the vinyl of this album and to be fair they literally credit rick and morty in the list of people they thank, plus Brennan wears a R&M shirt in one of the live renditions they do, but I doubt it had any real influence on the lyrics, these dudes have always been nerds who love quirky metaphors, it doesn't surprise me he references space a lot.
