My goodness this was sheer luxury! Beautiful, spacious, spotless with an amazing layout. I loved the awesome downstairs bath tiles and the taps and the bath were gorgeous 😍 The chill out room right at the top was lovely. My favourite bedroom was the first one you showed, to me that was more inviting 😊

I love how you can see the second and third level landings from the main living area. So much space and height. Great tour my man!

This is a nice-looking vacation home, and the steep roof would be perfect for lakeside locations that get a lot of snow such as Maine or Minnesota. Even if you are not using a vacation home in the winter, a heavy snow load that is allowed to stay on the roof can cause damage, so that snow-shedding, steep roof is a good thing. But there are a few design flaws inside the home I would want to correct. I'm guessing the kitchen was designed by someone lacking the practical experience of years of cooking three family meals a day. The gas range sits below a slanted wall -- no vent fan, no task light and a good possibility that grease splatters from cooking bacon or stir-frying food will soon be on that wall. I would buy a cook top that has one of those pop-up exhaust fans, add task lighting that focuses on the cooktop, and I would place a big panel of stainless steel or glass over that section of the slanted wall for easy clean-up with a degreaser. Or I would move the cook top to a kitchen island with a vent hood and task lighting directly overhead. There should always be some kind of task lighting that focuses on the cook top because a general overhead kitchen light will cast the cook's shadow over the cook top. It is always good for the cook to have a well-lit view of what is being cooked on the cook top. I cannot see any window treatments on the windows in the slanted walls. I would want blackout blinds or plantation shutters on those windows. I would also want a safer way to get up to the little third floor space. As it is, if someone loses their balance on the ladder and falls to the right, they could fall into the stairwell and all the way to the ground floor, which could be fatal. The outdoor deck is nice but would be even better if covered with a rain-shedding roof and screened in. Most places in the U.S. do get some rain, flies and mosquitos during the warm months which seriously limits the usefulness of uncovered, unscreened decks -- especially if you want to have some outdoor family meals.

A frame in snow weather areas. snow on the roof issues- snow falls off, insulation from wind chill. Construction effort issues- constructing the roof sided and then putting them in place reduces time building levels of the home in difficult conditions. able to put weight bearing floors and walls that are connected to roof in with ease compared to box homes. Heat and ac- heat rises in open floor plan level homes. hot near top and fan could move hot air sediment of home. interesting feature i would enjoy. safe draw bridge top floor room with the open floor plan. solar panel's i think would be easier to maintain. I do not know but i think this information is accurate.

Great design, however, they should have designed the area where they placed the stove a little better. If you are cooking as the design is now you will have things like grease, pasta sauce etc splashing on those nice white walls, not to mention the lack of ventilation when someone wants to pan-sear a steak

No range vent?

A lot of A frames feel dark and claustrophobic. Not this one, it has a bright, open, and airy feel to it.

The first floor shower looks cool, but I don't think it's very functional with the way it's positioned and the shape of the tub.

It killed me hearing him mispronounce Blanco like that. We say it like Americans here. Good video. I live in Blanco.

I wonder how much it cost to build a frame??

does A frame design have an advantage or its just a style? i dont like A frames because i thought they are not space efficient

It’s biggest advantage is style points. You might not enjoy the functionality of an A-Frame if you lived there day to day but it’s a perfect vacation getaway because the views are breathtaking.
