Before anything; We need to know that there are at least 2 kinds of models: - the one promoting the product - the one aiding their visual to the product (like magz cover, beauty products, perfume products, etc) For the first case, especially in clothings, the model shouldn’t overshadowed the clothes. They should in any way, making the clothes look it’s best, without giving the vibe: “look, im beautiful in this”, and “i’m the most beautiful in this”. It should simply shows it’s (the clothes) ideal shape on size 0, average model height. Just the basic non personalized look (credit to the designer). For public figure, espc idols, their apparel are supposed to boost their visual. It’s expected to modify it in a way that suits the idol best. See the difference?

Yeah. Facts. That is why in most cases celebrities look better than models in the same dress. It's cause models are literally there to be the hanger for the dress while celebrities need to attract attention to themselves rather than the dress.

But don't models have to do the same though?🤔Models are the equivalent, of IDOLS, but in the Fashion scene. They also have to stand out, amongst the sea of other equally beautiful & talented models🤷🏻‍♀️. They also need good exposure, fame, & notoriety. In order to climb up the ranks, & become well known SUPERmodels. Their endgame, is get paid the big bucks, to model for the Crème de la crème. Or gain the celebrity status, that other Super models have achieved. If fashion houses just wanted or needed mannequins, that properly showcased the aesthetics of the outfits. Wouldn't it be easier to cut out the middleman, & save money. By just having a runway parade, of literal mannequins. That are modified, to the desired size, proportions, & poses. Like you said, it's a models job, to showcase the beauty of the outfit, without overshadowing it. In the pursuit of self gain. But a worthwhile model or idol, can do both. Modeling agencies, also expect their models to work on gaining enough popularity & notoriety. In order to be desired, by heavy hitting designers. Designers are fully aware, that a dress that is modeled or worn, by an unknown in the industry. Will make less of an impact, & sell less. Than if a skilled, well known, popular model, modeled it. Fashion & Entertainment industries are the same. It's all just a huge circle, where everyone benefits from someone. Everyone has something to gain, & loose. That's my personal thought anyway🤷🏻‍♀️.

Modeling agencies have a certain standard for Models which makes it impossible to make it in if you don't have it. Its either you have it or not. The music industry requires talent which everybody can acquire but if they don't look "decent" enough for Korean beauty standards they would most likely be less loved by the average person in the kpop fandom.
