There were a lot of fantastic models in the 2000's who were not Brazilian. The Eastern European models were right there too killing it on the runway.. What Brazilian girls did often show, was more personality I think.

2000s were such a great era in modelling. I miss it. So many great catwalk models in this era. Gisele Bundchen, Ana Claudia Michels, Isabeli Fontana, Caroline Ribeiro, Mariana Weickert, Fernanda Tavares, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Ana Beatriz Barros, Raica Oliveira, Raquel Welch, Adriana Lima, Michelle Alves.... Brazilian girls dominated that era!!

Brazilian models had the best bodies in the industry. They are not awfully skinny, they’ve always got the curves. Their skin is stunning too. Their faces are some of the most uniquely beautiful ones, truly mesmerizing. They literally swept the modelling world during this era.

There was a time when fashion received the brazilian bless. 2000's era was the best of modernity.

Fun fact: Did you know that Caroline Trentini, Alessandra Ambrósio and Gisele Bündchen were discoveries by the sane Guy?( Dilson Stein).

Notice how all of them can WALK vibrant and sassy full of life.alongside the russians both of them had the best walks ever .and best era.todays models are lucky.back then models had to deal with heavy clothes ,big dresses ,sky high heels and difficult runways.(dior in paticular)

O problema é que as agências de modelos estão muito fracas, tem muita mulher bonita e talentosa pelo BR, mas as agências focam demais no book(valor exorbitante), ou modelos com estilo da nova geração, não focam na beleza e charme, os anos 90/00’s com certeza foram a era de modelos bonitas, glamurosas, charmosas e com os melhores catwalks

Então assim....as três estão em níveis de trabalho relativamente parecidos, sendo que a Isabeli tá fazendo umas publis no instagram também

Brazilian women of that era like Gisele (I bought a huge TASCHEN book on her) made an indelible impression on the extremely fine black woman that hired me for Wilhelmina as a Talent Scout - my specialty is music, pop in this case. I wonder is this what she is talking about; this kind of hyper-glamour si non qua that some claimed was dead with Gisele. Glamour is eternally youthful, no matter how the “old hands” fade. It wasn’t the first time I had run into something like that; in both cases, it made an impression. The first male models I really liked en masse were the Brazilians too, coming out of that era.

That's exactly what the industry was looking for at that time. White girls with tanned skin and latina attitude. Even the Europeans and white Americans/Canadians had to copy the Brazilian attitude to succeed in the industry.

Get some information first! Almost 50% of the Brazil's population are MIXED, in fact most people consider themselves as PARDO which is people, that have a dark skin but also have a great percentage of white feautures and ligth skin people that have black people features. The majority of african descedents are in the state called Bahia, and even with that, the state have a great percentage of PARDOS like one of the supermodels showed, ADRIANA LIMA she's from Bahia if google for her bio you'll see a gigantic diversity of races in her family, now can u imagine that being the same for a population of over 200 million people. Is not easy even for brazilians to tell if they're white or black, european descedents, north armerican descendents, asian descendent, arabian descedents, because of that enormous diversity of races. And we also have the natives descedent people as well, that have a dark skin but are not black.
