I never use the slip solution that comes with the kit. Honestly, ever since I started using plain rubbing alcohol I've had zero issues! 😊

I DO THE EXACT SAME THING!!!! GIRL.... RUBBING ALCOHOL IS WHERE IT'S AT 💖👏 That's when polygel became like groundbreaking my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE medium to do nails 💅 ESPECIALLY my own nails! How much easier is it to do your non-dominant hand?! Idk maybe that's just me, but I'd MUCH RATHER do my nails in polygel than say Acrylic or even dip powder!!! Honestly, I love putting polygel on EVERYONE 💖 To me, you can do like ENDLESS designs, and polygel is SO VERY FORGIVING, like until it's cured, you can always fix it, and even then, you can still file. I just FREAKING LOVE POLYGEL 😍 but to your point, absolutely, I don't even open the slip solution, I can't even honestly give a true honest review on any slip solution tbh, 😂 because, like you said, RUBBING ALCOHOL IS WHERE IT'S AT 💖!!!

Can you use rubbing alcohol instead of the slip solution? Also, how to get the gel to come out easier an softer? New to trying it.

@@yarninoveryonderwithbrittn9889 yes you can use rubbing alcohol. 70% works okay, but 90% is better. To make it come out of the tube easier let it sit in a warm water bath, then massage the tube, then squeeze it out, it should be much softer. 😌

Yes! I believe prep is the most important part of having long lasting nails. I am very heavy handed and work with my hands and my polygel last more than three weeks. I still have polygel thats still hanging on for about 7 weeks now.

I love using gel now rather than glue. Glue also can leave air pockets, but gel I don't see this happening 😍 I love this glitter polygel 🥰 so gorgeous. I always just use salon alcohol from sallys for my slip. Works best for me. Your sister is like, less is more! 😄🥰😍

I just did a set like this in August but I added the glitter NEVER thought of making them matte! Definitely redoing this set 😍😍😍

just did my own set of glass nails with adding my own chunky glitters and they turned out fantastic. already received lots of feedback (all positive). my biggest fan is my husband and as for the next few weeks i'm homebound. yep, i fell again and when i was admitted to the hospital they found out i had bi-lateral pneumonia and was stuck there for five days.when i got released from the hospital and finally back home, i told my husband i wanted to do my nails and his only reply was a huge smile.

This is my first Polygel kit ever, I haven't used it yet, and I am SO happy that I found this video! I am IN LOVEEEEE. I am so obsessed with nail design and am just starting to get to the point where I can start buying products and am just so excited now. Thanks Femi!!

I just bought my 1st polygel kit. In the past I've done acrylics. I've used gel polishes and paints on my natural nails. I just love coming up with my own designs. I only do my nails I am not a nail tech. I have enjoyed watching other's videos to try to get an idea of how to work with polygel. I love matte on designs. I thought this set was pretty either way. Thank you for sharing!

I really love this set that you did on your sister. It is absolutely gorgeous on her! I love the polygel that you used. I have found that the slip solutions are different. The ratio of acetone and alcohol is different. Which has a bearing on how the solution works. I normally just use alcohol. Thank you so much for this video!💗💗💗💅🏾💅🏾💅🏾🩸🩸🩸

I love the glitter inside the PolyGel I remember when u first said u wished a company would come out with more PolyGel with the glitter in it! U should get in with Makartt or Modelones and see about having a special kit made for u it could be called the Femi Beauty Squad or Kawaii Gang Squad with all of your favorite colors pinks with sone glitter or something I think that would be awesome! I definitely would buy a kit like that if they named a kit off u!

These are actually really cute both ways. It’s kinda hard to decide which I like better and I LOVE glass nails. I do like the glitters mixed in already but I haven’t personally worked with any like that. I love your videos and feel the same way you do about being able to get a new sanding band every time. That’s a pretty polygel 😍😍 I love it 🥰. And yes the slip solutions are very tricky at some point mess up the whole sets. That’s why I mainly use base coat now.

Femi, what companies should do is include the slip solution in EVERY "KIT". They should test the slip solution and reassure that -that particular slip works with that particular polygel. That would help. Right now I just use 91% alcohol. 😊

I like the nails that have the glittery design consistently from top to bottom like the star ones do. I think I like the shine better than the matte myself, but I love love love these and I like the hearts but I like the way the star one came out better 🤪

I mix my loose glitter with the polygel and then put in the dual form. It works good of you aren't using cheap polygel.. its cool because I have thousands of different colored glitters so everytime I can do something different But I am excited too try these modelones glitter polygel , I've been wanting it too come out too! My nails never last though or seem too harden completely, ive switched up my prep and I cant figure it out. It stinks! 😊

Try using just plain Isopropyl Alcohol as your slip solution. That's what we use here mostly in Australia and also for cleansing tacky layer off and so much cheaper than buying slip.

Rubbing alcohol is the best way! And if you get poly gel on the table it makes it super easy to clean off 🙌🏼

Beautiful set! I tend to use base gel when I first squeeze and lay the polygel but then I finish with alcohol and it smooths out nicely.

I use the Apres gel x tips. I find when any acetone gets on the tip it turns cloudy. 90 percent alcohol domes seem to bother it. But today I had to use 70 percent alcohol and it made my tips a little cloudy. I just filed slightly and buffed it out until it was clear again.

Yes it does turn them cloudy. It's so odd. I use the Apres as well and every single time I do them the underside turns white and cloudy. I use alcohol as the slip and it turns all my tips cloudy.
