Modelling the Rowenta EK55 Hair Dryer in Solidworks

Ғылым және технология

In this video I cover modelling the main form of the Rowenta EK55 hair dryer. I tried several approaches, before deciding that I needed to look at the handle blend and outlet blend as separate exercises, followed by a third exercise which was blending the previous two blended bodies together. Overall, quite a challenging form.
Many thanks to Kevin Franz on the Rhino forum for uploading the scan data of the product. Here's the link to the forum thread in case anyone wants to attempt some of the other products!

I seriously doubt how many people know this kind of beautifully perfect and insane approach...

Hı andrew, very nice blends 🎉 . I came up with a technique to cut surfaces with a loft to have parametic curvature continuos 3d curves on comllex surfaces to have blends. Works reslly nice on double curvature surfaces to then create multiblend sırfaces. I wıll prepare a solis and rhino file to send to you this week. Maybe you can showcase if you like it

Haha, yes, that was a bit tongue in cheek! SW did produce a nice clean fill surface though.
