Because so many of you asked, I did! So, smoke 'em if you've got them Terrainiacs!
A smoke damage tutorial was exactly what I was looking for.
keep em coming Mel. Have to say I think the rattle can did the nicest job, but at the same time you've got me hankering after an air-brush...
This vid came just in time for my war damaged village board. Crackin' as usual.
Just in case you wondered, that is a stencil brush and the motion is called "pouncing".😊That said, AMAZING job and thank you for the useful info
dude love your videos, I don't do wargaming, N scale model trains for me but the technique you use is amazing and I try to apply to my scale keep them coming man
I love the subtle product placement ;-)
Great job of screwing up Mel! I actually found myself leaning over to try and look around your arm, lol. The painting info was good too. You'll make a painter out of me yet. --- I found another method besides paint, (I dont have a compressor yet) You can use crushed up charcoal bricks like for a bar-b-que and brush the powder on. Then smear it with your finger.
You Can buy these small smoke generators from a brand called Seuthe which do generate for model trains but also do ones for buildings. I saw a programme called Model Town which has an episode where it shows a firebombed house smouldering away with smoke coming out of the nooks and crannies which was doing using one of those smoke generators. if you connect one to a 9v battery and place it on one of your buildings, it would make the battle table more interesting for you.
Cheers Mel, You're a diamond!
Awesome, thanks for the vid.
Nice video Mel
dope techniques
I used a small sponge and dragged it upwards
looks good to me
spray can does, honestly, give the best results in my opinion.
Mel, forgive me if you have already said, but what compressor do you use with your airbrushes? I'm just starting out and still getting my kit together. Thanks for all the great videos!!
SLIGHTLY off topic, I know, b..u..t
Nice tips, mate. I'm surprised, but I actually prefer the rattle can version from the results. If you would need more control, graffiti cans are available in low pressure, there's a variety of caps with different patterns and there are translucent colors.
an airbursh is a specialist material?
