You inspired me to dig out my old H.O. slot cars I haven't seen since the mid 80's. Just opened them tonight. THANK YOU!!!
Gus , you did a great job but Ryan n Derick jobs are safe …. Jim , your development process is methodical and precise. Your a craftsman. A friend of mine’s dad did a silicone mold of a Cheetah from the sixties in 1/32 back in the sixties. Great road car that initially the Fords couldn’t beat. I made plaster models out of this mold and in the slow process of increasing the wheelbase and width to 1/24. That same friend has a vintage vacuum machine designed and built by his dad. We intend to make some plastic bodies. As you know this all takes time …. just wanted to share that your enthusiasm is contagious.
Enjoy your tour of the museum. Very interesting video. Your a text book of knowledge. Thanks for sharing guys!
THanks for introducing us to all of this... Jimmy is amazing!! Get this guy a 3D printer!!!
You did a great job on this video of Jimmy. No apologies necessary.
Oh those were days...Saturday at 4 pm Wide World of Sports. Listening to Chris Economaki broadcasting a race in black and white of course. Jimmy, you sir are a true artist! Thanks for sharing your passion.
Jimmy, the book Offenhauser, the Legendary Racing Engine and the Men Who Built It, by Gordon Eliot White has a picture of the 1964 A.J. Foyt car with the body removed. You can see the front suspension.

Been there, but about 30 yrs ago. Awesome place. Rode around the brickyard in a bus, too. I wanted to drive the bus, doggone it!
Great video gentlemen 👍 Looking forward to seeing them all done.
Cool subject Jimmy, I can relate mate You do know the 1/32 Scalextric front engine Offenhauser and the Scalextric rear engine Offenhauser slot cars from the late 1960's ? I have one Scalextric front engine car and four of their rear engine cars The front engine Scalextric car seems to be dimensionally accurate compared to your original Eldon car I also have an Eldon 1/24 (?) Offenhauser slot car that looks much like your original Eldon 1/32 car with the same dimensionally inaccurate shape as their 1/32 car but uses a seperate plastic chassis and has alloy wheels I've seen the 1/32 Eldon cars selling on the internet occasionally but I can't remember seeing another car like my 1/24 Eldon Offenhauser It has molded front suspension components I thought were supposed to be leaf-springs but I now imagine they're ment to represent the torsion-bars you mentioned There's a French fella who makes vintage resin racing car body kits for 1/32 slot cars including many of the old Indianapolis cars from the 1920's through to the 1960's including the Watson car
And just like they say about Fred Astaire and dancing, “who do you think you are AJ Foyt?” 🤣 excellent modeling video!!
great, thanks for sharing
The number 98 Parnelli Jones car was the race winner Indianapolis in 1963 not 1964
Please tell me you are going to resin cast these bodies!!!
Hey let your granddad know that one of the links on his website hyperlinks to a questionable site, and the other no longer exists... the professor motor link is good though.
Somebody get jimmy a 3d resin printer he would love it
