Mickr4 You have made my day, thank you.
Man, I have NO desire to ever make this stuff, but your videos fascinate me. So talented.
I have to give Woodland Scenics credit for all they have done to make scenery simple. Back when I started modelling, instructions would typically include go this store, find a distributor of that, and mail order from this company. Even though train and track development was coming along nicely, scenery took a back seat and advice was as varied as peoples' track plans! You can still experiment and modify your techniques, but especially if scenery daunts you, just do it the WS way. Well done.
Amazing what human minds can conceive and hands can make.
Just simply unreal what can be done if you have the tools and skills...Woodland Scenics looks like they really have some awesome stuff!
I've always been fascinated by dioramas with water scenes...I remember going to a museum as a kid and seeing a diorama of a Native American tribe and they had a cross-section of a river with tiny salmon suspended in it and I was like HOW DID THEY DO THAT and now I'm learning the tricks they use ;)
I collect schleichs, and was looking for inspiration for backdrops i can build to put them on display. Well, not only have you inspired me, you have blown me away sir. Thank you
Very Nice and realistic waterfall
Took me so long to find this video again, but I'm glad I did. I loved watching this video as a kid.

That’s a fun idea! I’ll be sure to pass that along. Thanks and happy modeling!
That design would make a beautiful aquarium
I did this technique with my Waterfall for my layout and it came out incredible. I also used white feathers I bought from Michaels and used it for the splash coming up (brush over it with water effects) .. Thanks Matt. Mad Skills. Raw Talent !!!!

I wish I had the space to build models like this! So amazing!
What a great idea, woodland scenics. I feel like I could accomplish this now. Woodland scenics makes it easy to spend your money and make great scenes, right from the bottle. Thanks again woodland scenics woodland scenics.

You should have a TV show 😄👏🏻 ı would definetely watch it 😭👌🏻👏🏻💛
I'm referring to the main waterfall everything else looks spot on.
That looks like real waterfall...😍 you are really talented.
Very creative and innovative ideas!!! Thanks for sharing 😊😀😃
the effect is stunning!
Thanks for that video! I will try it out
great job but fill up the very top pool with more water. it's got to be higher so water can flow over the rocks. You can also create the splash with toilet paper, water and wood glue mixed and a brush for making the splash build up.
You should cooperate with Luke Towan because both of you have realistic, cool, and unbelievable ideas!
WOW that's beautiful fantastic clever man
I like the waterfall and rocks too
The water on the ground was modeled with Realistic Water. The Realistic Water should be poured according to the directions on the bottle and fully cured BEFORE adding the waterfall. When the Realistic Water is fully cured (to a glass clear state), add the pre-molded waterfalls. Then, dab Water Effects onto the cured surface to model splashes and current.
This is great used on my school lighthouse project and got A+ My teacher said if he could give higher he would.
its so cool but i dont plan and mesure dioramas much i just go along with it to make it more random and reilistic
Unbelievable! You are an artist.
that... looks... AMAZING!
it looks so real
I've been looking for this! I'm going to do my best in my IM for science fair and I found this! thanks for sharing your knowledge about this! its so wonderful :D

insane! so realistic.
This is VERY helpful! I might make a diorama of this for Breyerfest 2015! (:
this is so beautiful I loved it so beautiful
it's beautiful and look real
FOR SOME REASON , THIS REMINDED ME OF ONE OF DORAEMON'S GADGET THAT WAS A 3D PRINTING POLAROID CAMERA, USING WHICH IF YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF SOMETHING THEN A 3D MODEL OF THAT THING WOULD COMEOUT
Amazing! I will try it out.😀
Thanks! I look forward to watching them.
wonderful!! Very, very cool!!!! Perfection!
Hello Van De Rach...I think you may be referring to the release paper, to which Matt applied the Water Effects to make the waterfall. He used lined freezer paper that you can purchase at most grocery stores. You could also use a cookie sheet with a non-stick surface, like Teflon. FYI...waxed paper will work, but leaves a film on the backside surface of the Water Effects. Hope this helps!

Great video m8.. I have been wanting to start building layouts for a while I scratch build rc aircraft and do a lot of painting of diecast models and some custom airbrushing. .as a kid I went to roadside America in Pennsylvania had that modeling bug ever since then

Thanks! Hope you can begin building that layout soon! If you can't start yet, or don't have the room, you could always create dioramas for your diecast models! I have seen some amazing ones, that set these models into historical context, creating some captivating scenes. I have never been to Roadside America, but sure would like to see it someday! Happy Modeling!
Good job! Amazing!

I love the way you have given us with this snippet from your dvd. My Wife Julie and I are about ready to start modeling in N scale. We plan to use quite a bit of Woodlands Scenics to create a mountain (or mountains) within our layout. The area we have chosen is one of my sheds. It is 10'6" wide x 25' long and a 2 tier structure. Thanks for all you tutes given so far, I look forward to them all the time. I am located in Australia.
