This is a video of a field test accomplished with our Model 6906 mosaic aluminum oxide ceramic armor plate which is currently available on our website. The beginning of the video shows 2 “new” plates and then we test several plates at the same time. The plate on the far left was shot without any sort of thermoplastic wear face stiffeners and is offered as Model 6906. We added trauma reduction materials to the 6906 and introduced Model 9049 which incorporates a thicker crack arresting layer and graphene, aramid and carbon fiber blends. This greatly reduces backface deformation but does make the armor more expensive and slightly thicker. For basic protection, Model 6906 is excellent. For the extra trauma reduction, Model 9049 is what you want… we will add a video of the Model 9049 field testing soon.
