I really enjoy watching your trommels process material Ray they are a great design I like the feed hopper design with the inbuilt grizzly system for the oversize rocks. I were very disappointed how quickly Todd Hoffman gave up on his one when it only required a few rather simple repairs as it would have been great advertising for you to have had one processing material on Goldrush.

apparently Todd Hoffman had his mechanic cut the polyurethane wipers out of the trommel simply to create some drama for the cameras on a slow day. I am glad those idiots are gone from the yukon, we need real, responsible miners. Preferably Canadian ones.

ur an idiot.. this plant is garbage.. trying to do way to much with a trommel when the whole point of a trommel is to be simple! if u eliminate all the "fancy" things that r supposed to be catching more gold & turn it into a regular trommel with regular sized sluice boxes it would catch so much more gold! this plant loses so much gold its unbelievable that its even being used! You cannot catch gold with a sluice box that small unless u only run 20 yards an hour! ive built a few plants & know a few things about placer mining otherwise i wouldnt say anything.. but come on poeple, dont believe everything you read/hear.

The trommel appears to be working good from what I can see in the video. However, 8-foot width of sluice box is required to catch fine gold efficiently at a head feed rate of 100 cubic yards per hour. The 4-foot wide box used for the fine gold recovery in the video is too narrow like you mentioned. Easy fix is to add on another sluice run measuring 8 feet wide lined with coarse raised expanded metal. The 8-foot run would need somewhere around 1,250 to 1,500 gpm of water to run properly.

D M you over sell yourself. I’ve seen this Trommel in action. First, I don’t know what you mean by “fancy”. It’s built with trommel principles just doubled (goes one direction then the other) to maximize recovery, minimizes water usage, and it avoids the feast and famine of water rushes in between bucket loads which washes out gold, and does not require a conveyor to do it. I watched fine flour gold come out of the clean up after 3 hours of it running. The plants you suggest are fine, but be sure to add a conveyor, and get used to running it a week between clean outs with massive sluices, and waiting a full week burning diesel to know if you’re even on the gold. This trommel gives you accurate gold values in real time in just a few hours without costly downtime for clean outs on a larger sluice. Maybe you remember building lego sluices like we all did as kids, but this gold machine works amazingly and retains gold down to the very fines.

@@DM-ir6pc you say you have experience in this field which I don't discredit in any which way or form. I'm more wondering if you have any experience with this particular machine and your overall opinion on the matter of running this machine against a regular trommel or is this just some bias opinion about how machine should be operated and not any hard cold fact with numbers or experience running this particular product against other similar ones?

Todd from gold rush should have kept his trommel and given Ray the time to make it right. this machine seems so efficient.

G'Day Ray, I love the look and design of your trommels. I'm currently making business plans at the moment for a future mining venture. Is there any chance you would be able to share the price of a brand new Model 100? I could email you instead if you don't want to share pricing publicly? Thanks, Riley
