I know there are a lot of new people coming into the game finding out you can play anomaly for free so i would start with a good tutorial on how to get started making money and the types of quests you should look for. explain the factions , types of enemies , anomalies and such , I know I struggled alot coming into stalker with the little bit i learned from the dayz mod.

Any way to still have dynamic ambient music that's in expedition but remove the EFT tracks when combat starts? so bloody loud and jarring transitions.

I'm so glad Expedition gets the exposure it deserves! It's absolutely one of the most immersive and impressive modpacks out there with absolutely huge amounts of work that has gone into it making custom textures, shaders, weather and gameplay itself is far more immersive than a lot of the major modpacks out there.

That leaving the Brain Scorcher was difficult as heck even in the vanilla Shadow of Chornobyl, here in the modded Anomaly, with hardcore even on low levels AND with bunch of mods that make the game more complex and difficult AND with you enabling all item use animations... Yeah, hell.

Man, that one shot at 11:27... Laughed so hard at it. The disrespect LMAO

awesome, happy this series is still going. can't wait for more and for the sequel to come out

The first time I got caught outside in nowhere when the emissions hit I was hiding in a low concrete bridge, smoking and praying to survive. I lost a 30 minute progress save that day.

Thanks for playing expedition bro 😎, I mainly play escape from Pripyat modpack but it was a lot more realistic, so I downloaded Expedition and all of a sudden I don’t have a complex medical system, damage system, loot system and annoying magazines. (You need to be in the right mood for relax king mags in Stalker) thanks bro Have a good one!

You know what could make the game harder and better. To add the magazine to the game. In the game, you don't have to worry as long as you have bullets, but if there is a magazine, you should be careful to refill the magazine after each use, and if it takes a while for the magazine to fill, it will be better.

Your videos are awesome, everytime I finsihed one Stalker gets fired back up for a few hours :) Iam totally casual and dont mind using " cheat" when I feel like ( debug menu, dynamic crosshair, infinite ammo). Even tho old Stalker did it because of technical limitations, I think those many small maps are better than a huge landscape. And with Anomalys big selection of all maps it offers a wide variety of scenery from the Zone. This also lets you empty out complete maps if you want to :)

I loved this episode Custer! I hope you use the shotgun more it could’ve helped in the underground fighting!

Yeah, you should take few steel plates (not kevlar but steel) they are (unlike kevlar) protecting both: from mutant melee strikes and bullet/explosion while increasing durability of your suit (means less repairs). Or exosuit. But running something outside exo is definitely needs steel plates or corresponding artifacts (but not Jellyfish cause it cuts off psy resist which is bad under brain scorcher waves)...

First starting stalker anomaly and gamma and can say i needed to search and watch 3 different videos before i found a well explained guide to healing and how different healing items do different things. I played alot of EFT and was expecting it to be like that but its not. once i learned how to heal everything else was alot easier bc i wasnt dying constantly and having to restart

there are several stalker discord groups you can join im sure someone could walk you through it , I would suggest maybe try the stalker GAMMA modpack

my dude i love you and i love your continent and i played the original stalker when it came out and Pripyat but holy shit man, this moded stalker without context i have no idea what is going on. Be the one that explains this "new" moded stalker. what is going on, what am i watching? besides the super awesome immersion i have no idea what is happening. Broaden it up my dude, make me understand :D

Hey dude, this is stalker anomaly, its the conjuction of all the 3 stalker games (at least map wise) with a unique story. Its heavely modded and im also using a modpack called EXPEDITION 2.0 (Looks good, but there are better ones like EFP 3.0) Im from Portugal :) Definitely check out Part 1 so u can get an idea of what is going on, everything is nicely explained :)

now i worry that i have to explain more, what i meant is, stalker is my top 5 favorite games of all times, i love it so much and until today id say to anyone that this is the game to play. But since the new, free version that seems to be the version that everyone plays now days im a bit lost. I installed it and i tried it for a little while and i was lost. Your showcase of the game... im still lost. is it tarkov? is it the stalker that i knew with new map(s)? what the fck is it? make me understand xD What is this fractions that are important now, are you still playing like its a single player game with an end at some point, or you just... to missions. Emissions should wipeout campfires.

I'm pretty sure that the psy-helmet is the only way to protect yourself from psyemissions. that's the first thing I do when I start a new game. Btw: Do you know how to get a Ghillie suit in stalker? I've tried to buy one in the dead city but they want 125.000 RU for that. I love the Suit because of the AI, if you kill someone and then quickly hide in a bush they won't notice and go away at some point. Really cool AI!

​@@CusterPlays Thanks! It's just pretty funny if you are in the Dark Valley and you get into a massive base and then they get alerted but they won't find you because you're hiding in a bush with the ghillie suit! :) didn't expect that from such an old game!

in the settings theres a choice to make it so AI cant see you through bushes, havent tried it yet.

@@CusterPlays Probably bleeding, because i have stayed there for large amounts of time while trying to reach the Brain scorcher (specially because i didn't want to fight a controller lurking the area at the same time as a pseudogiant, i was low on ammo and my gun wasnt that great), it could also be Expedition's mod pack having something that effects the psy protection device, but i am unsure.

Is this like a traditional rpg with guns in terms of level/challenge progression? For example, are their levels on weapons/gear? and enemies? A level 5 player going into a level 20 area and encountering enemies there would get wrecked. How about in this game?

There are better guns/ammo/armor for you to get, upgrades you can apply, artifacts to find and some skills to raise, but not a straight-up leveling system on your character or gear.

One way to explain it is that in this game, the main character is The Zone, and not the player. You're basically a side character among everyone else. The player gets minimal to no advantages over other NPC's/enemies, so everyone is is just as deadly or weak as you are. Even late game you can be one shotted by a enemy sniper or a mutant. The player is simply not the hero of this story. With regards to the challenge/progression: due to the sandbox nature of the game, everything can happen: one playthrough, you'll be running around with a rusty shotgun for the first three hours, the other you'll loot a military end-game suit and a futuristic machine gun in the first five minutes. There are some bottlenecks though, like repair kits (required to upgrade weapons) or sufficient elemental protection, but in theory you could walk straight to the Chernobyl nuclear plant with your broken 9mm Soviet pistol and clear the entire area of enemies. They're just as strong as everyone else (although probably better armed and protected). One thing to add is that this game works with "A-life". It means that every in game character lifes their own life; they travel and fight independently from the player. You could find a bunch of dead NPC's in a map you've just entered and have never previously been to. Or you accept a mission to clear a mutant lair on the other side of the world. Then, a couple of seconds later your PDA beeps: "mission completed". Apparently some stalkers at the other side of the world took out your target. It would be the Skyrim equivalent of travelling to defeat Alduin, only to find out that that he's already dead and his dragon bones have been looted by this random guy sitting at a campfire enjoying his sweetroll. Anyway, that's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in a nutshell!

EXP is very simple compared to gamma or EFP. EXP stays more true to base anomoly. Gamma and EFP change/focus on different aspects of the game. I’d say Gamma is more crafting survival and EFP is more gunplay. EXP seems to mostly be graphics and a few extras like BaS.

Stalker has different types of weather you know

cant play this game cause of the fucked up unstable old engine which crashes all the time, its lagging on rtx 3060ti and 12gen i5... wtf? not to mention billion bugs caused by mods, CHANGE THIS ENGINE!

All brick walls and some of the whitewash on the walls have never been used in construction in Ukraine and in the USSR. These building materials are used in Europe and the United States. This is all strange. Why did you have to enter into the game these textures. Secondly, the grass that is used in the mod does not grow on the territory of Ukraine. All this does not look natural.And the quality of these textures is not good. Everything is vanilla.

I got a question, Im currently playing GAMMA. Can I add this mod?
