    I have to say. This is by far the most accessible lecture on this topic with a lot of intuition.

    arguably the best lecture on GA available online...great lecturer. There are some lecturers, no matter how much they talk, nobody understands a single thing, and then there are others where even a single word makes sense...this one deff belongs to the later. helped me on my exams..thank you

    mate pool,actual count, cross over site, new population - all these values how do they came... exhausted try to understand them... unclear explanation

  • @SphinctersForever
    @SphinctersForever11 жыл бұрын

    A property of GAs is that they manipulate a population all at once, which can have major advantages for certain problems with poor initial structure when novel solutions are needed, but GAs do not tend to find global optima in well-structured problems very well. There is, of course, no proof that evolution ever finds global optima, and likewise, GAs do not necessarily do particularly well at global optimization. Simulated annealing tends to find global optima much better.
