    @34:24 if we use standard formula for passive earth pressure coeficinet (1+sinfi/1-sinfi), I dont get the same values as in the table given for N gamma. Help

    please be a bit clear about concepts like radial shear zone and how it forms ,.......its NOT WHAT I expect from iits ,.......its like refering punmia text book, nothing was made general ,............

    Radial shear zone is a zone between the passive mobilization zone and the elastic wedge (triangular zone as referred here). Look at log spiral theory of earth pressures for more information.

    You can use any of the formula, they will both give the same results. Just put the value of Dw'=B in Case-III and it will give the same answer as Case-I.

    37:27 for friction angle = 0. Nq = 1 but why isnt Nc = 0 then? you have 5.7 from nowhere ?

    Because when the soil fails as elastic wedge, it will fail at the angle of internal friction. The triangular part represents wedge failure of soil and the failure planes will form an angle phi.
