On the new board V3.3 is much easier now to disable the VTX. Is just removing a bridged solder joint. Also has a video out pin now too. Much easier to fix it.

now i can test mine 2 i see a not so nice video feed with a tinyhawks vtx, it broke a while afte the ufl mod ...., now a few batterys laters chilling the drone did work a couple batterys and the vtx is terrible when the drone move/fly and i check the wiring, is attached still but from experience it can be broken cable if lucky but also burend vtx . when just plugin the drone the vtx is good stand stil

great vid gonna maybe try and fit the hdzero whoop bundle in. figuring i dont need to bridge the vid wire as the osd is rendered via tx/rx2

Hello, I damaged my vtx antenna connector when I was trying to change the frame of my mobula6 ELRS. The procedure to install external vtx ( OVX300) is the similar?

I haven't worked with the ELRS version of the Mob6 yet, so I can't say it would be the same. I don't know if the components and PCB traces are in the same locations. Sorry.

Can you make a tutorial like this for mobula 8? My internal vtx is broken after a crash, and i already soldering external vtx and it still showing internal vtx

The Mobula8 comes with the HappyModel X12 flight controller. This FC AIO board has a solder bridge that enables the onboard VTX. Not sure if you've done this, but if you're trying to use an external VTX, you need to desolder the VTX power bridge. And you dont have to configure on betaflight your vtx ?! Its just soldering and play ?!

You can tune into it with the default channel and power mode that comes default from factory. If you want to change the channel and power mode, you still need to go into Betaflight, set up smart audio in the ports tab, update the VTX table and set the values you desire. Can I disable the onboard VTX and put a Digital VTX like Caddx Vista?

I don't think you can run a Vista Air Unit with this board since the board is 1S (4.2v max) and the Vista is rated for 7.4v to 26.4v.

@@NBALMNBALM I believe the mobula8 runs the HappyModel X12 flight controller which does have a solder jump pad to disable the onboard VTX. I have a video on installing a Vista with the X12 here kzread.info/dash/bejne/h6CrrrqflM_Nh7A.html . Hope this helps

the onboard VTX are programmed 400mA out of the box and tend to burn out!!!. reprogramme the vtx to 25mA and it will last longer.

I would check if the power output of the VTX is set to 400mw instead of low power 25mw. Otherwise, is the VTX antenna damaged? It's a thin wire at the front of the quad next to the camera and I find it's easily broken

@@randomthings4164 Ah I see. Replacement antennas are tricky as they have to be the exact length down to the 10th of a millimetre. I would try to research that and try getting the onboard VTX to work by varying the antenna length. If I can't, I would install the OVX300, because I have already done it successfully a couple times (once in this video). As you may have seen, be absolutely sure you want to go ahead with the OVX300 install, as it is non-reversible since you have to destroy the onboard VTX inductor to disable it. Good luck!!

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. The video OUT on the flight controller goes to the video IN on the VTX. Video transmitters also can have extra Ground, 5V output and SmartAudio input pads. What model is your VTX?

The video out from the flight controller in this video is the yellow wire. Goes onto the VTX on the solder pad labelled "V".
