Trends create a market for these games to thrive in, but because trends on the internet have such a limited life cycle, games that hop onto trends are often rushed and created for the sole purpose of money rather than an actual interest in creating a game that you’d be proud of.

Mobile games were so much fun back then, the reason I don’t do mobile gaming anymore is because most games a free now and they require to pay money to unlock certain stuff

The worst part is that most of the mobile games then are still around, but ruined beyond repair and stripped of their former glory by the sheer power of corporate greed...

Halfbrick Studios still isn't greedy, they still update Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride regularly. Monster Dash was a failure so they don't update it anymore which is understandable.

Тот же Shadow Fight наполнен гриндом, донатными предметами и рекламой, но взамен он предлагает действительно интересную боёвку. Ну а также как тогда, так и наверное сейчас, есть настоящие бриллианты вроде Kingdom Rush, которые бесплатно предлагают тебе замечательную игру, за которую по хорошему вообще то надо платить.

Эх, ещё грустнее осознавать что сейчас случилось с пвз, клеш оф кленсом😢, миньонам (миньоны для меня отдельная тема):а что там с хкр я уже не знаю(но что с хкр2 знаю, с ней всё нормально, играть можно) эх, печально вспоминать все эти игры, очень приятно было в них играть, хотя, геометри даш вполне популярен, вроде как бы, эх спасибо тебе геометри за то что я потратил так много сил на тебя:). И в итоге после прохождения первых 5 уровней я удалял игру, а после скачивания приходилось снова их проходить, пока я не догодадся сделать аккаунт, спасибо вам, игры...

Shadow Fight 2 is one of my favourite games of all time and it's a MOBILE GAME! That just goes to show that in that era you didn't have to buy expensive consoles and cds of your favourite games because you had amazing games for free; in that era the creator of those games just wanted to prove that anything a console game coud do a mobile game could do better; and the best part is that sometimes it DID!

​@@zulhilmib057I disagree. Smash Hit isn't too simple for its own good; it had everything it needed to be a great game. A video game doesn't need to be complicated in order to be good. Some of the other games in this video, like Jetpack Joyride and Fruit Ninja for example, are simple, yet amazing titles. There's only so much to them, and yet they're still some of the best mobile games out there.

Mobile games back then were already 95% garbage. Today there's way more actually good games. The video even listed clash of clans, the prototypical pay2win time waster, as a positive example.
