Mobile Flash Butt Welding Machine at DFC

Welding of rails being done with Mobile Flash Butt Welding Machine at Bhagega yard of Western DFC. The Mobile Flash Butt Welding is preferable as the welds have much better fatigue strength and performance as compared to the AT welding otherwise used.

    Why are the raikws being welded. Don't two rails need to be joined by fish plates, so they can expand during summers and contract during winters?

    Good site of FBW!! After finish weld process, a cooling process used. How much time cooling cover is used? What is the rail origin? TTT Curve?? Problems with martensite? Residual stress?? Comment please. Regards!
