Phantoms in minecraft doesn't really do anything besides just flying circles and swooping down and ramming its head on a player.

Nice and to this day I still wish the hovering inferno aka the wildfire won in Minecraft vote. Then again phantoms do have some useful drops like the phantom membrane to make slow falling despite it being annoying.
