    He KNEW he had to let them go because he knew what he had to do to protect them. He knew that as long as he was taking orders from The Beast, they would be used as leverage against him. He started planning this AFTER speaking to Beast and him threatening his family. He wrote the letter to his son after speaking to Beast but before being released from prison. He had planned the entire deal to go just the way it did. He prepped his "kit" (razor blade, chapstick tube, and cuff key, made from the inhaler he bought) before the arms deal was done because he knew that he was going back to prison because that was the only way to eliminate Beast, thus then becoming the Shotcaller!

    The ending is like that because it's to set up a sequel. He had no incentive to keep being the shot caller because he already eliminated the leader calling the shots for the entire Aryan Brotherhood. I bet in the original ending, he took the deal and went into witness protection.

    The scene where he is offered the deal with the cop is before he gets back to see “The Beast”, the reason he didn’t take the deal is because he still needed to get back to see the Shot Caller because as long as he was alive his family was in danger. This is why he didn’t take the deal he had to get back to see “The beast” and kill him and take over as shot caller

  • @tjhookit

    @tjhookit

    Not only that, but if you go back and watch that scene….the dirty guard on Beasts payroll is standing right there when the agent offers the deal. So if Money took that deal the guard would have told Beast and then it’s over for him and his family.

  • @LadyLibertyBella

    @LadyLibertyBella

    2 жыл бұрын

    That makes so much more sense! I haven’t seen the movie yet so it was confusing. I was wondering why the crooked parole guy who set him up to begin with would give him a deal to turn over the shot caller & all involved when if occurred in the order explained he had just killed the shot caller, telling the crooked guard- he was now the shot caller. It makes so much more sense now as to why he didn’t take the deal! Bc if he hadn’t gotten rid of him yet his family was still in danger. Plus that crooked guard was also there in the scene so of he said he would take the deal he certainly would of have told the shot caller & money and his family would be targeted immediately. Thanks for bringing this up bc honestly I was confused. I wonder how Michael mixed that up? Oh well lol. Still looks like a good movie I’ll check it out.

  • @marlygee

    @marlygee

    Жыл бұрын

    Nah he didn’t mix it up he said it in reverse order of the films chronology so he offers him the deal before he goes to see and kill the beast ‘shot-caller’. He is asked to give him ‘the beast’ but Money has other plans so tells him he’s wasting his time. Plus there is the honest cop and the corrupt prison guard, they are two separate characters.

    Yeah, the way those modern max security complexes are designed really suck. They can see you at all times. I was in "old county" in San Bernardino CA a couple of times as well as "new county" in Ontario CA and the Glass House. New county was actually built as a modern max security prison, but they decided to use it as a second county jail because the old county became so overcrowded when the Inland Empire experienced huge transplant of people from neighboring Los Angeles and that new facility in Ontario was far more stressful than the old facility on Waterman in SB. There was no place you could go in there where they weren't watching you 24/7 and the whole place had a very oppressive feeling about it. Being in there on Christmas was the worst because the tension was so thick that it felt like a riot was gonna break any second. I believe it was purposely designed to be that way in the human psyche.

  • @YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech

    @YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@notmybuddyguy477 The system puts trouble makers with other trouble makers. You can do your time in prison without needing to engage in more violent behavior if you don't want to. Yes, you do live around mentally deranged people, but it's not different than society. If you refuse to fight other inmates and become a target yourself, you can always ask the guards for help just like you could the police on the street. You will be branded negatively by the inmates in general population and end up in a different classification. But generally in the movie, if you go in for something like that, majority of other inmates won't pick on you. If you are a sex offender, that's a different story, as most dislike sex offenders. For myself, I found I had most conflict with addicts or those whose parents were addicts. I recognized that they blamed most of their problems in life on people like me who were responsible for them and their parents getting the drugs. This helped me recognize the indirect damage done to others from drug dealing. Learning how hard it was for a child of a drug addict parent growing up opened my eyes. I never recommend using violence unless absolutely necessary, it usually brings more problems than it solves. If you do go to prison and have a problem with a bully and he isn't a gang member. Just visit him in his cell and fight him there. Never fight anyone in the yard or in public. Some guys won't respect you at all if you don't stand up for yourself. It's just how some people are. Regardless if you win or lose the fight, there will be respect. Generally, if you are just doing your own time and aren't causing problems for others, you will be fine. It helps to be in a good mood and have a sense of humor too. Don't focus on what you dislike or hate, that will eventually lead to trouble.

  • @YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech

    @YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech

    @@MarvoloSalazar There's a lot of factors involved. Depends on your convictions. Who you are. The policies of the correction system. Typically these types of yards are reserved for violent offenders or those who want to engage in violence, the system tries to filter out the types of inmates and place them accordingly. I cannot give you advice in that situation as every prison and yard is not the same. Remember that you don't live in a country like Mexico or El savadore where the inmates actually run the prisons. In America, there is still some type of authority that can assist you if your goal is to really just do your time and improve yourself. Just hope those running the prisons aren't corrupt and working for the inmates as it is common in the other countries i mentioned. Corruption isn't as big of a problem in America yet. If it was. People like El Chapo wouldn't be locked up in a supermax. They would be in a minimum security probably still giving orders to his associates on the outside. Corruption is only allowed within the political and corporate class, not the criminal class. Lol

    This movie and breaking bad where the craziest transformations I’ve seen with just using a simple haircut plus mustache and beard where they looked like completely different people

    Sons of Anarchy's storyline is crazy as well. Alot of dynamic characters.

    @@mvanluven78 It really does tho 😂 Walter White wanted to keep his Heisenberg look because he wanted his image to be remembered as well as his name. Same with Money, once he excepts who he becomes he keeps his hairstyles and moustache even when he gets released.

    it's because of the actor, the guy does a normal nice guy and a dangerous killer so well that you can't believe they're the same person. in Game of Thrones he has the same transformation where in the first 2 seasons he's the villain and he's one of the best swordsmen in the world and is a very dangerous person and in season 3 and 4 people realize that's his reputation and he looks like from the outside and on the inside he's actually a good guy that you feel sorry for

    I can't understand how Miller's Crossing isn't more well-known. It is an extraordinary work. Remember, friends is a mental state.

    Michael Franzeze you are a great inspition for me, your life experience and the way you voluntarily quit all that and the way you tell everyone to be peaceful and influence people in a good way and the way you are calm all the time... I admire you ! I appreciate all your videos and advice and I like your movie reviews very much .. cause I've seen most of them snd I compare what I think of them to what you think of them :) Of course you know best and if our what I though is the same as you say I am thinking like "I knew it ! I was right !!!" :)))))) I greatly enjoy that you tell people about the importance of family... I don't have a wife and kids but my parents mean everything to me and I love them very much and am grateful for everything they did for me :) Also my cousin and aunt. So thank you for all your videos and advice ! God Bless you sir ! I wish you all the best !

    I subscribed to your channel the other day. As I was scrolling through, it automatically plays you saying something along the lines of ( don't ever let your past, prevent you from what you can become). Thank you for saying that. You are a Class Act Mr Franzese.
