Join us in honor of Black History Month for a concert celebrating the Black experience in America. Produced by School of Jazz and Contemporary Music faculty member Charlotte Small-Chestnut this virtual event features performances by vocalist Jazzmeia Horn and percussionist Kweku Sumbry (both School of Jazz and Contemporary Music alumni), vocalists Charlotte Small-Chestnut, Brandie Sutton, Rasul A-Salaam and Helen White, saxophonist and vocalist Camille Thurman-Green, bassist Eric Wheeler, pianist Cyrus Chestnut. drummer Chris Beck, pipe-organist Dr. Nathaniel Gumbs as well as pastors Rev. Rashad Raymond Moore (First Baptist Church of Crown Heights, Brooklyn) and Dr. Calvin O. Butts III (Abyssinian Baptist Church, NYC.)
