You've had to have been responding to a video of someone else instead of Mo'nique. Mo'nique understands the meaning of No, and can except No, when told so. She is not begging anyone for anything, nor is she complaining. She is asking for the lie that Tyler Perry told about her, the lie that ruined her career and reputation to be taken off the table. She wants Tyler to admit that he lied on her for no reason. She also wants to be compensated for the lie.

Sometimes you just have to say what you need to say to get out of the situation safely. Edit: for all the dense people who can't conceive under WHAT circumstances you need to do this. Examples are: people who can't handle hearing no, crazy people, bullies...hope that helps...it's so sad I had to add this, but saw some very small brained comments, so there's the line of reasoning drawn out. If he paid for her NEEDS but knew she wasn't good for not dragging him in the streets the minute he said no to her and he probably already knew about her audio recording ways...then he said what he needed to say to safely get OFF THE PHONE with her. The fact that she is still going around to every talk show etc and will not file a stupid civil suite since she swears she has a case says a LOT. she's not looking for a resolution...her complaints have become her new side show hustle. That's the number one way to tell if someone actually wants to solve a problem...offer them a solution that THEY have to make a move on...you'll never hear the end of the remixes to their problem....she doesn't want this fixed. Get them in court and ask for the money or SHUT UP, and stop dragging out people in this mess. She went from someone I felt bad for to just down right annoying.

She’s so brutally honest and it’s very refreshing. I was pleasantly surprised with her role in “The Reading”. She’s a dope actress and they’re only blackballing her in the industry because they are threatened by her talent and in their feelings. It’s terrible they do this to the best actresses. Tyler Perry is SO dumb for doing that to her because I LIVE to see her in his movies. That’s probably why they haven’t been that great lately. He needs to apologize already.

I appreciate this space for them to share 'their' truth. I also respect the fact they ate talented and have been through alot. However, if someone is perceived to be difficult to work with isn't that their valid experience too? Should they have the right to say I didn't like or have a good experience working with said person? If asked how was it don't they have the right to say 'difficult' if that is what it was? I think there is a level of accountability missing here. That is not taking away from the fact that if the person was difficult to work with then it would be helpful to give them some feedback for the future. However, the giving of feedback maybe dependant upon whether it would be taken. I just don't think it's one sided and think there is more to this story.

This is exactly the issue I had with the Katt Williams interview that a lot of people seem to not care about. ALL People are very complicated and nuanced, no one does the right thing or the wrong thing 100% of time. there are always 3 sides to every story. Monique and Katt have similar patterns of blaming their peers in the genre that have surpassed them as the reason why they aren't successful, calling for accountability without taking it themselves. Katt and Monique are very self-righteous, and very clearly angry and bitter at the loss of lucrative opportunities. But because they speak with conviction, people assume they're telling the whole truth, even though they've provided virtually no evidence to back up their claims. I don't believe they are completely lying, because a few of their claims have been proven, but I think there are many situations where they paint themselves as victims of other people instead of their own poor decisions.

You pay people what you can afford to pay them based on the budget of your movie. If those people put pen to paper and agree to work for a certain amount, then that's what you pay them. In the vast majority of film contracts for actors/actresses, there's NOT a separate contract to do promotional work. It is part of the contract you sign on to do the movie. Monique wanting extra money to do the promo work she was CONTRACTUALLY OBLIGATED TO DO is ridiculous. Then when you listen to these actors/actresses talk about money, it sounds like to me that they didn't sign a back end deal for royalties should the movie far exceed what the movie was projected to do and became a blockbuster. That's why I don't go into these things with emotions. I look for facts, and Monique and Katt, sprinkled a little bit of fact ontop of a lot of cap.
