Good luck David. Maybe Minnesota is taking a lesson from Oregon. Introduce an animal then say we need to have more predators so they haul in a bunch of cougars. Now I have turkeys crapping on my deck, cougars on the trail cam daily and not one deer to be seen. Thanks Oregon.

Good luck. David I ain't seen nothing either all season and it started in September. Our lovely wildlife service turned lose a bunch of Cougars here in North Carolina. What are you supposed to do???? Looks like you got it backwards, pal. Maybe you ought to put up a wolf stand and a deer would run out sorta like go to a fight and a hockey game broke out thing, eh? And that's land beaver tooth sheds. That's why they eat iron deposits and junk cars and stuff loggers leave in the woods. They shed them sometimes and then tack them to trees to just mess with people. We got a deer like Fire Captain Tom but it took the front end off the Buick. The car is still going but some guys behind us saw to it the deer didn't. Remain calm and I liked the video when you was a baby, bouncing around. Forming lifelong habits. How enduring! GBWYall!

A friend has a food plot at his deer camp.in northern Wisconsin. Wolves came and pooped in it. No deer around there much anymore

One job the wolves were so bad, I had to chase them around with the skidder just so I could get off to limb with the chainsaw. The trucker said they circled the truck when loading and couldn't get down to leave. Unfriken believable !!!

With only two paper mills running sporadically0 logging has been kind of dead in MN since COVID started.

@@lowercherty on the contrary, harvest in MN has not been dead. It is at least as active as it was before Covid. There are several active mills in N. MN producing several different products from paper to dimensional lumber to other engineered wood products. Markets are good and demand is high. What the bottom line and mill contracts look like for each individual operator, I certainly can not say. But, generally, the flow of wood, from whatever source, has not ebbed and flowed much differently than it does on a normal year.

David, they want nothing to do with you. Even in a pack they will go the other way to avoid man. Now if you have a dog with you. They will attack your dog. They see the dog as competition for food.

There's always bears and wolves around here in MN. Maybe when the wolves get to the Cities and start eating Fido and Fluffy we'll be allowed to start doing something about it.
