Based on what? Whittaker has only been subbed once. Which was in 2011(!) when he was still super green. Against past opposition in the UFC, he was usually the stronger fighter on the ground. Even when he faced Jacare Souza and Romero. I honestly don't see how Khamzat subs Whittaker.

Great analogy but bit far fetched. You beating Jones is a virtual impossiblity. Whitaker beating Chimaev is a reasonable prognostication... Nevertheless, your point stands, the bias is very transparent especially 😂 juxtaposed to the betting line right above the predictions count.

Khamzat’s problem is his gas tank. With that being said when we have picks heavily one sided more often than not the other guy usually wins 🤷

He broke his arm with Usman. Imaging fighting with 1 hand. With Gilbert I guess Gilbert the one who gassed up 3rd round, backed lot and Khamzat dominated by time, Strikes and taked him down once.

Not sure why noone brings up Whittaker’s suspect chin. He get dropped by Du Plessi’s jab and nearly KO’d by Costa. He gets rocked in every fight basically (besides Vettori who can’t kill a fly). Chimaev has that power plus skill. He only need one perfectly placed uppercut and Rob goes the ways of meerschaert (I googled that…).

Most time when I see fighters pick someone who the commenters are split on, and the odds makers are against... the odds makers are usually right. Fighters pick with their heart, commenters have wisdom, and the odds makers reflect the sum total of commenters. I see what the odds makers and wise commenters are seeing... I want Robert to win too, but I see Khamzat rushing him, taking him to the ground, and smothering him. Robert is used to opponents cautiously playing into his "on the feet chess game" fighting for points, but Khamzat doesn't care about that and will impetuously rush him and Robert isn't used to that. Dricus showed that.

Whittaker ain't winning that fight, you can say that all of those guys chose him cause they just don't like Chimaev. And if it was something like 16-13 or even 18-11 it would be ok but 27-2? Those odds are not realistic. You guys don't understand how freaking hard is to do what Khamzat did to Usman in that first round, it is literally close to impossible. Whittaker is not going to survive the onslaught. Of course anything can happen in a fight but i honestly can't see how Whittaker wins this one, i can't see him stopping those takedowns of a fresh Chimaev.

I'm going with Rob. I really didn't like the way Khamzat looked when he had to slow his pace and was forced to have to stand up vs Usman. He really didn't look sure of himself. At one point he hadn't thrown a legit strike in about a minute and he was looking for an opening but he didn't know what he was looking for, so he just moved his head and his hands around feinting without much purpose. If he had trouble with Usman at that point then I think Whittaker is gonna be an almost impossible task to do that with.
