Adesanya's movement definitely wasn't "too good", or if it was, we didn't see it, because Costa literally didn't throw anything. This fight was an embarassment for Costa. I was rooting for him, and I wanted to see war, but he was obviously scared shitless, while ring experience definitely worked in Adesanya's favour.

@@horvathbenedek3596 You should pay attention to the feints and hand games Izzy used in the whole fight as well as his timing and placing of his shots. The movement, accuracy, and IQ is what "scared" Costa his gameplan didn't work and he had nothing to fall back on. His striking wasn't working and shooting for a blind takedown is useless especially against someone who has the takedown defense of Izzy. I dont think you can say someone was scared when they are stepping in the octagon wit a man you never would. And for the most part every fighter has little fear in there it's what helps you detect the danger and know when to get outta dodge not many know that tho.

In reality, apart from his exceptionally accurate striking he's just a good standup fighter with very very long reach. He's good, but let's not pretend that his "fight iq" scared Costa, like it's some kind of anime fight. Instead something that I have been seeing for a while now - you can actually tell which fighter will win with a good certainty, from the weigh-in and face-off. Watch the face-off. Costa pulled that stupid belt trick, but he was timid about it - he wasn't getting physical, he wasn't standing his ground. When Adesanya threw back the belt, he didn't square up, he backed off, and THEN came with the puffed up chest. Do you know who does that? A scared man. I have two speculations. Both are possible. 1. Adesanya got into his head. Costa BARELY has ring experience despite being a fighter for a while now. He also has no experience with guys who can go all 5 rounds. It's possible that the psychological pressure was too much. 2. Bad weight cut. He looked visibly pale during weight-in and face-off. He also shrunk a lot. The guy cuts from 230 or so, to 185, and unlike Romero, who's an olympian, Costa has very little experience with cutting weight in a clever fashion. The same thing happened to Till against Woodley, for example. Till had a very very bad cut, and you could see it on his face. And sure enough, he was completely out of the game, and soon after that went up to middleweight. I wouldn't be surprised if Costa either migrated to LHW soon, or if he permanently reduced his walk-around weight, since cutting what, 45 lbs clearly is a very stupid idea. One of the primary things that affect knockout resistance are the state of the neural pathways, the hydratedness of your body, and your blood sugar. Cutting involves a loss of water weight and an extreme dietary constraint. That means low blood sugar, and a shrunken brain (yes, your brain shrinks if you are dehydrated), and thus, headaches, and beign easily knocked out. I have cut weight before, and I felt how that feels on your body. "I dont think you can say someone was scared when they are stepping in the octagon wit a man you never would." Oh really? So Conor McGregor wasn't scared of Khabib? The nervous quips and drunkennes wasn't the sign of a stressed out, scared man? Why do retarded casuals like you insist that people have to fight in the UFC to have an opinion? I could say the same - if you aren't a world class fighter, who are you to comment on the technicalities of the fight? "And for the most part every fighter has little fear in there it's what helps you detect the danger " Absolutely false. Professional fighters eventually lose the adrenaline rush you get from a fight. Fear is not to be mistaken with that lizard-level fight or flight instinct you get from the rush of adrenaline. If a pro fighter is scared, they are afraid of something specific, not just "I need fear to keep me alive". This isn't animal planet. These guys have been through their combinations thousands of times, they're trained with hundreds of opponents, got punched in the face again, thousands of times. If one of them is afraid, that doesn't start mid fight - it starts well before that. Case in point, McGregor was so afraid of Khabib that he froze completely, and didn't utilize his exceptional striking, which is why Khabib could beat him even in standup. The same happened to Costa - he was afraid of Adesanya, he most likely cut too much weight - meaning he was already low energy, which is why he didn't go in guns blazing, like against Romero -, and thus he forgot about his own strong point of overwhelming your opponent with big bodyshots. Again, I could see during the weigh-in that Costa was off. Congrats to Adesanya, I hope some day someone actually gives him a challenge - though the UFC seems more concerned about big fights, than giving talented fighters the chance to accumulate experience. And stop watching anime, FFS. This isn't Baki, this isn't JoJo. Fighters don't monologue in their head, talking about their opponents' fight IQ and shit. It's a bodily thing - hormones, enzimes, all that shit. Confidence is just a bunch of hormones. Costa had no confidence. This was not the same guy who went up against Romero, and was exchanging big blows for 3 rounds.

Costa never had a fight in his career with so much pressure before. Adesanya has been under pressure and defeated under pressure many times as the Champ. Costa folded and couldn’t handle the pressure, it’s a game of power, toughness and mind games. The same reason Romero didn’t go face to face with Adesanya for the fear of getting knocked out flat is the same reason costa couldn’t go face to face. Adesanya is a real technical and emotionally stable fighter in the ring.

So it's always a KO, or an ASSUMED KO, since it would happen anyway - with rare occasions. For example, Gastelum vs Adesanya. Gastelum just wasn't going down. So it's a definite TKO. Or Covington vs Usman. Covington took 2 rounds of punishment with a broken jaw, he wasn't going out, and had a few second off the end of the round, but the ref called it, so it's a TKO.

I wish dowado voice would hit puberty, would make him slightly more enjoyable

USADA and no physical evidence other than being muscular says he’s not juicing. Big muscles don’t always equate to steroid use, there’s a thing called genetics. Although I don’t like Izzy, I don’t think he would risk getting on gear when he’s already the champ, so I’m thinking it was a pec tear in the last few months. I’ve done the same simply dropping down from a high wall I was standing on and although disfigured, didn’t really have as big an effect as other muscle tears.

Carl Mannerheim - usually you’ll get gyno in both nipples, the puffiness is a sign. While I’m no Izzy fan, it looks like lack of muscle control in his pec/bicep tendon and I’m pretty sure no cycle would avoid detection from USADA with their testing procedure.
